TIMUR BEKMAMBETOV TO DIRECT "THE LAST WITCH HUNTER"

As "MovieWeb" reports Summit Entertainment has made a pre-emptive mid-six figures buy for writer Cory Goodman's "The Last Witch Hunter". Apparently they want to develop this project into a franchise. Famous Russian-Kazakh director Timur Bekmambetov ("Day Watch", "Night Watch", "Wanted") is currently putting together a deal where he will produce and direct this film.
The story will center around one of the last witch hunters on earth. This person keeps the population of witches and warlocks at a reasonable level. They are about to start repopulating a lot more than they should unless he can prevent them from doing so.

  1. Witch hunters, why not vampire hunters?....lol... But I will still watch it, well if it not too scary...

  2. I hated to death Bekmambetov's "Night Watch", but I loved "Wanted".. it was pure adrenaline rush fast-paced action flick, so hopefully his version of "The Last Witch Hunter" will be at least as good as his latest. He definitely evolves as a director ;)

  3. I must admit I'm not into Timur as well, but it's nice to see Slav artists in Hollywood :)
