SEE A GORGEOUS PRINCE SOLVING CRIMES IN 19TH CENTURY ST. PETERSBURG IN BEZSONOV NEW RUSSIAN PERIOD SET SERIES

   BEZSONOV SERIES
NEW PERIOD SET DETECTIVE SAGA FROM RUSSIA
The series started on January 16th
Since Hollywood is currently sleeping, we are, per your favourite custom of ours, again going East to visit sweet old mother Russia where a very charming new period set series has just started: as of January 16th BEZSONOV (Безсоновъ) is available on Russian NTV with all its twenty episodes!  Gorgeous Russian star Denis Nurulin stars in the lead role of a young prince who investigates crimes in St. Petersburg in the late nineteenth century. You can check out a rather fun trailer below the post.
WHAT IS THE STORY?
Clever and resourceful Prince Nikolai Bezsonov (Denis Nurulin) leads an idle life, which he has long been bored with. One day, he is accidentally arrested as a suspect in a crime. The young prince decides to prove his innocence, takes on his own investigation and suddenly figures out the killer. That unexpected event allows Bezsonov to find his true calling - work in the detective police. Colleagues accept him coldly, and only an experienced official, Pyotr Romanovich Shchukin (Alexei Grishin), sees the future star of the detective force in the young man. Together they are trying to uncover a chain of mysterious and dangerous crimes committed either in the city slums or in the boudoir of a socialite.

  1. I like detective stories. A prince with detective gene in his blood sounds charming.

    1. Yes, sometimes their series don't have character development and no linear plot, but this one looks lovely. I will do two other Russian shows soon, methinks.

  4. I guess my comment didn’t go through yesterday. How do you go from being a prince to a detective? I suppose we all get bored in our roles and need to switch things up here and there.

    1. It says in the post, deary, circumstances led him to it. Have in mind that Matushka Rossiya had lots of princes, he wasn't the crown prince or anything. We have separate word 'knez' for it, but it gets translated as prince in English.

    2. I did read so, but even so, it's like a Prince Harry situation. Go from being a prince to working as an ordinary citizen. Hopefully this prince doesn't whine about his choice to go from royalty to detective.

    3. Harry is working as an ordinary citizen??? Maybe if you call selling your own family on a daily basis a regular job LOL He is a twisted murderer and needs to be cancelled. I cannot believe old Charlikins is inviting him to his coronation. Camilla needs to step up and slap her husband silly.

    4. Hey, I'd probably sell my family out for 20 million too. Then again, I don't like my family, so I'd probably do it for a mere chocolate bar at this point LOLOL. Maybe he's invited to the coronation so Camilla can slap her stepson silly and her husband all in one go. She seems resourceful like that.

    5. I've heard that Merkel's sisters Samantha is suing the two of them at court and will demand them prove all their lies in front of the judge, what a queen, she's always been dear to me LOL
