LEV GROSSMAN'S NEW ARTHURIAN NOVEL THE BRIGHT SWORD TO BE ADAPTED INTO AN EPIC TV SERIES

   THE BRIGHT SWORD
TO BE TURNED INTO A TV SERIES
It has not even been published yet, as it comes to the bookstores July 16th, but Lev Grossman's Arthurian novel THE BRIGHT SWORD has been bought by Lionsgate TV for a TV series adaptation.
The book is out next week in bookshops
The novel, described as the first major Arthurian epic of the new millennium steeped in tradition, full of duels and quests, battles and tournaments, magic swords, follows a gifted young knight named Collum who arrives at Camelot to compete for a spot on the Round Table, only to find that he’s too late. King Arthur is dead, and only a handful of the knights of the Round Table survive. They’re the oddballs of the Round Table, and this ragtag fellowship will set out to rebuild Camelot in a world that has lost its balance. It is up to Collum and his companions to reclaim Excalibur, solve the mysteries of this ruined world and make it whole again. But first they’ll have to learn the truth of why the lonely, brilliant King Arthur fell.

    1. He probably watched the series as it was adapted some ten or so years ago.

  2. Ok, I was wondering why I hadn't heard of this book and see it hasn't been published yet. I'll add it to my tbr list. The powers that be must think it's something special if they've already planned a series before even hearing feedback from the masses on the book.

    1. It is out next week!
Recent Arthurian series were godawful, from Camelot to Winter King, hope this one will not go the same route.
