Married couple Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero are starring in their son Carlo Gabriel Nero's drama movie THE ESTATE and today you
can see the first image of the couple in it. It finished shooting recently in United Kingdom, following the story of the Wellsleys, an aristocratic family unable to save their ancestral estate because of debts. As they struggle to find a solution, a series of disturbing apparitions begin to haunt them, forcing the Wellsleys to confront the deep injustices they and other landowners, past and present, have wrought. Bob Barrett, Jennifer Wiltsie, Julian Rivett, Julian Firth, Barbara Leon, Lillian Nero, Phoebe Marshall, Jonny Lavelle, Tom Chapman, Susanna Dalcielo and Paul Hilton will all also feature in the cast of this social drama thriller movie.

Is it based on a true story?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so, it was written by their son, so a typical case of nepotism, Vanessa invented nepotism, methinks. We are already seeing her grandkids on the screens as well.
DeleteWell Vanessa and Lynn were themselves daughters of a great thespian, Sir Michael Redgrave. I didn't know she married Franco Nero. They had a baby in the late 60s and made unwed motherhood fashionable at the time

ReplyDeleteI recently read an article where Julia Roberts niece was on some rant about nepotism not existing in acting. Whining that maybe it got her foot in the door for some projects, but if she didn't have talent then she wouldn't get cast in movies for years on end. Excuse me? There are so many more talented actors out there who will never even get the shot because they weren't born into those kinds of connections. I cannot stand it when they whine when called out for it.
I have read that one too, some other nepo babies had statements recently too, all idiots, Denis Quaid's son said he is defo priviledged but would still not exclude the power of talent. What talent? And even if some of them has it, there are millions of actors more talented than them who did not get the job because mommy isn't famous. Gwyneth said the same, like what, what talent do you have, sister? You are famous only because half of Hollywood paraded through your home when you were a child since your parents are famous, you have zero talent, not even looks. Even that ridiculous Oscar she got for an atrocious role... all lobbying from papa's clan. Redgrave not only has her daughters in the business and son and both husbands. but now also grandson... and son in law of course.
DeleteAnything that comes out of Gwyneth's mouth should just turn to dust. She is the queen of of nepotism. No talent, no beauty, and so arrogant. Which is a pity she turned out so as it seems like her mother is more sane and down to earth.
