Viking Saga. It is not connected in any way with Vikings Valhalla but will be set decades before its story. I told you previously that Hirst is also doing a series on Pompeii for Prime Video. His gorgeous son
Horatio Hirst, who starred in Valhalla, will write the new series with him.
With lots of violence, I don't think this would be on our watch-list.
ReplyDeleteDepends if they will make it more like violent Vikings or like less violent Valhalla.
DeleteI haven't watched the Valhalla one but I always think about it because the vikings always look kinda cute. lol
ReplyDeleteIt is on Netflix, so you can catch it there.
DeleteThis sounds like an absolutely thrilling new series to look forward to! Michael Hirst’s past work on Vikings and Tudors has set such a high standard for epic historical dramas, so the arrival of Bloodaxe promises to be just as compelling. The story of Erik Bloodaxe and his fierce wife, Gunnhild, Mother of Kings, seems like it will be filled with intense action, political intrigue, and emotional depth. The mix of Viking culture, shifting alliances, and betrayal is sure to make for a gripping watch. It’s exciting to hear that Horatio Hirst will also be involved in the writing alongside his father—it seems like a dynamic duo in the making. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how this epic saga unfolds!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great weekend. You are invited to read my new post: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/03/the-breathtaking-adventures-we-had-in-glencoe.html Thank you!
I wonder if lovely Horatio will also star in the series.
DeleteI'll probably watch this one. I still haven't started Valhalla, but my mom really liked it. I did like Tudors, though I think I got bored with it by the final season and never finished it.
ReplyDeleteValhalla was nice, filled with gorgeous hunks, the end was weird.
