After Richard Armitage who was the lead in the first season, ITVX has cast Martin Compston as the new hero of the second season of RED EYEseries with  Jing Lusi back in the high conspiracy drama as DS Hana Li and today we have the first image! Jemma Moore will also return as her journalist sister Jess, along with Lesley Sharp as MI5 boss Madeline Delaney. As you remember, in the first season she was escorting via airplane back to UK Richard Armitages character Dr Matthew Nolan, the medical professional accused of murdering the daughter of a senior Chinese politician. Martin Compston will now play the centre of a new conspiracy in the six part series which is currently shooting. It will be a new conspiracy in a highly pressurised world.

Dream Works has released third trailer for their live action movie version of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON in which Mason Thames and Nico Parker will be the lead stars in the roles of Hiccup and Astrid with Gerard Butler (who is quite unrecognisable in it) as his father Stoick! The movie follows a young Viking as he aspires to hunt dragons, and how he becomes unexpectedly a friend of a young dragon. With Dean DeBlois directing, writing and producing, the movie should fly into cinemas June 13th, 2025. Nick Frost will also star. It is interesting that Universal has already set a date for the sequel which should arrive June 11th, 2027! You can also check out wonderful character posters today!

For the fifth year in a row, Christmas is cancelled at the dysfunctional Sullivan family home. That is until a mysterious someone starts sending strange gifts to hopeless widower Henry (Sheen) and his two bickering children. First, a partridge in a pear tree, the next day two turtle doves are sent, followed by three calling birds on day three. Before they know it, the house is full of boisterous animals and house guests! The family’s lives are turned upside down as they try to figure out just who the mystery gift giver is, and to top it off, Mariana (Longoria) from Animal Protection Services is on their case. Even though this Christmas will be messy, it might turn out to be just the gift the family needs.

Coming from director Ladj Ly and Pathe, who scored huge success with movie versions of Alexandre Duma's Musketeers and Count of Monte Cristo, is a film on his father DUMAS: BLACK DEVIL which will also be an expensive, big budget historical epic. It has been announced today that Theo Christine, Vincent Cassel, Omar Sy and François Civil will lead the cast of 2027. movie. Thomas Alexandre Davy de la Pailleterie Dumas, was born a Caribbean slave in 1762 and beat the odds by rising through the ranks to become a revolutionary French general. The son of a nobleman, Marquis Alexandre Antoine Davy de la Pailleterie, and an African slave, Marie-Cessette Dumas, he became the first and highest ranking Black leader in the French military and served under Napoleon Bonaparte. But despite his many exploits, which earned him the nickname of “Black Devil,” his role in the French Revolution was underplayed and he was even denied a full pension and legion of honor by Bonaparte. Although he was not even 4 years old when his father died of stomach cancer, Alexandre Dumas cherished his legacy.

TriStar Pictures has announced that popular comedian Nate Bargatze and pop star Mandy Moore will lead the cast of comedy movie THE BREADWINNER which will mark his big screen acting debut. Moore will play Nate’s supermom wife, Katie, who lands a deal on Shark Tank. Subsequently, the lifelong breadwinner of the family becomes a stay-at-home dad and quickly realizes he’s in way over his head. Bargatze also wrote the script for this movie that will see Stella Grace Fitzgerald, Birdie Borria and Charlotte Ann Tucker star as their daughters. Eric Appel is directing as The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Back when I first announced it, it was called Catch You Later, but Channel 5 has changed the title into the less memorable THE GAME and now we have the trailer as well since the new series will start airing Monday May 12th and will air its four episodes in the following nights the same week till Thursday. That is also the Eurosong week, so I don't know if it will influence the ratings badly.

Their fragile peace is disrupted by the arrival of a messenger, a man with haunting news from the outside world who rapidly shows symptoms of a mystery illness. A virulent plague is spreading through the land: marked initially by a hemorrhagic fever, it turns its victims into “revenants”, restless, undead beings. To be directed by Mulan's Niki Caro, it has the story set in post-WWII Germany and following a recently released camp prisoner (Gadot) who is forced to make an unlikely alliance with a German soldier (Schoenaerts) in a mutual quest to exact revenge on a Nazi SS squad.

After announcing recently that they are doing a TV series remake of LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, Netflix has revealed the cast as well:  Luke Bracey and Crosby Fitzgerald will play the parents, Charles Ingals and Caroline Ingalls with Skywalker Hughes as their eldest daughter, Mary Ingalls and little Alice Halsey from Lessons in Chemistry as their second daughter and narrator Laura. The new adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s classic novels is a part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West.

Although the Colin Firth series Lockerbie: A Search for Truth already aired without much success, I previously already told you that there is another series on the same terrorist attack coming up and today I have for you first trailer from THE BOMBING OF PAN AM 103 series with  Connor Swindells who leads the cast in the story based on the real events surrounding the 1988 Lockerbie bombing and the joint Scots-U.S. investigation which sought to bring the perpetrators to justice. Peter Mullan, Tony Curran, Eddie Marsan, Kevin McKidd also star in thebrand new series that will first air on BBC Sundays and Mondays from May 18th and then stream on Netflix globally on a later date!

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT? 

On 21 December 1988, flight Pan Am 103 was en route from Heathrow to JFK when a bomb exploded in its hold over the small Scottish town of Lockerbie, killing 270 people, including 43 British citizens and 190 Americans. It was the worst ever terror attack on British soil. LOCKERBIE will focus on the investigation into the crash on both sides of the Atlantic and the devastating effect it had on the small town and the families who lost loved ones. From the initial exhaustive search for evidence on the ground in Scotland, via the U.S. and Malta to the trial at Camp Zeist in 2000, the drama takes us right up to the most recent indictment at the end of 2022.
