EWAN MCGREGOR
JOINS 'AMERICAN PASTORAL'
Our dearest Ewan McGregor has a new gig: according to 'Coming Soon' he will take the lead role in AMERICAN PASTORAL and he will dye his hair blonde for the part. The movie adaptation of Philip Roth's bestselling novel will be directed by another Philip - Philip Noyce. Ewan will portray Seymour 'Swede' Levov, a blonde Jewish businessman living in Newark, New Jersey, whose ordinary life is disturbed by the chaos of the 1960s under the presidency of JFK's successor Lyndon B Johnson.
EWAN'S OTHER NEW ROLES
In next two years you will watch our dearest Scottish star in BORN TO BE KING next to Kate Hudson as an extra on a film set who shares a striking resemblance to a movie star. He will also play Australia's most notorious criminal in SON OF A GUN, and will spend LAST DAYS IN THE DESERT as a holy man and a demon - both roles played by McGregor - on a journey through the wasteland. He will then join Johnny Depp in MORTDECAI which follows an art dealer searching for a stolen painting that's reportedly linked to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.

HILARIOUS NEW TRAILER
WHAT WE DID ON OUR HOLIDAY
Straight over from Great Britain comes the first rather hilarious trailer for new comedy WHAT WE DID ON OUR HOLIDAY starring DR. WHO's David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and acting legends Celia Imrie and Billy Connolly! To bring holiday memories (we'd rather forget) into cinemas this September, the story of the comedy revolves around a family of Doug (David Tennant), Abi (Rosamund Pike) and their three children when they travel to the Scottish Highlands for Doug's father Gordie's (Billy Connolly) birthday. As you can see in the trailer all kinds of hilarious things will strike the merry unsuspecting family on their trip! And it soon becomes clear that when it comes to keeping a secret under wraps from the rest of the family, their children are their biggest liability...
I remember working at the Arts Commission in my 20s, hearing people talk about Maria Callas. I never had any idea who she was! Still don't, really...
