LUKE EVANS JOINS TOM HIDDLESTON, JEREMY IRONS, JAMES PUREFOY IN 'HIGH-RISE' THRILLER! COLUMBIA PICTURES TO MAKE 'CAPTAIN NEMO' EPIC ADVENTURE MOVIE!

'HIGH-RISE' THRILLER
LUKE EVANS & TOM HIDDLESTON
All you Luketeers and Hiddlestoners have probably already heard about the casting from the wildest dreams that just happened yesterday: our beloved Welsh star Luke Evans has joined our dearest English star Tom Hiddleston in HIGH-RISE movie adaptation of J.G. Ballard's (EMPIRE OF THE SUN) novel. To be directed by DR WHO's Ben Wheatley, the film will be set within the concealing walls of an elegant forty storey tower block in which the affluent tenants are hell-bent on an orgy of destruction. Cocktail parties degenerate into marauding attacks on 'enemy' floors and the once luxurious amenities become an arena for technological mayhem ... In this classic visionary tale, human society slips into violent reverse as the inhabitants of the high-rise, driven by primal urges, recreate a world ruled by the laws of the jungle.

REST OF THE STELLAR CAST
James Purefoy, Sienna Miller and Jeremy Irons are all rumoured for the roles. You will watch Luke Evans this Autumn in historical fantasy movie DRACULA UNTOLD (we eagerly expect the first trailer real soon) as Vlad Tepesh, and then again as the legendary Bard the Bowman in the long awaited third part of the epic saga THE HOBBIT THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES!

'CAPTAIN NEMO'
FROM 'SMALVILLE' CREATORS
And while Disney has put their work on 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA on status hiatus, Columbia Pictures might venture under the sea since they have just bought the script for CAPTAIN NEMO from SMALVILLE creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar who are also set to produce the underwater epic adventure together with the producers of MALEFICENT and ALICE IN WONDERLAND. The movie will be a big screen adaptation of famous Jules Verne story about CAPTAIN NEMO, a scientific genius who roams the depths of the sea in his submarine The Nautilus, which he built on a desert island.

  5. High Rise sounds interesting. I saw something on TV about the high rise of the future. Since areas like China are so overpopulated, the concept of building up would allow for businesses and residents to be built without using up land. In the same building you could eat, shop, and work without ever having to leave that building. It would be an entire city within itself.

    1. not only eat, live, shop but also raise crops and food, you've probably seen those skyscrapers that have gardens on each of the floors, including fruit trees.
