This high octane dynamic action thriller was directed by Scott Waugh. 

 

Wonderfully ripped Alan Ritchson takes the lead role as a former soldier who is thrown into a brutal race against time when a critical medical delivery makes him the target of a ruthless cartel. The delivery is liver which will save a little girl's life. In the movie set in Brisbane he has just three hours to fulfill the life saving delivery! The movie comes from Angel studios whose movies are becoming more and more lucrative at the box office!

Exactly a year ago I told you that Channel 4 and French Canal + are making a six part drama out of Joseph Kessel's book ARMY OF SHADOWS, which was already turned into a classic film depicting the emergence of the French Resistance to the Nazi occupation of France during World War 2. Channel 4 will switch it into the story of how resistance takes shape in a near-future authoritarian Britain. Under de facto American occupation, a former British army officer builds a covert resistance cell from scratch - navigating betrayal, moral compromise and the tension between patience and action - as young recruits fight to reclaim their country and their futures. Across six thrilling episodes, the series chronicles the early days of the British Resistance. I have no idea how I wasn't informed about this, I even find it scandalous, but it seems that one of our favourite of Netflix historical dramas OKTOBERFEST: BLOOD AND BEER which streamed on 

The second season aired in Germany last Autumn

the streamer back in 2020, actually got a sequel or a second season OKTOBER FEST 1905 recently but done only by German network ARD without the assistance of Netflix. It aired last Autumn in Germany and I hope we will manage to find it somewhere to watch it as I really liked the first season. Our lovely Klaus Steinbacher returns as Roman Hoflinger alongside Misel Maticevic and Martina Gedeck. The story of the series, which followed the rise of rival beer producers and their war which turned Oktoberfest beer festival into a bloody battlefield, returns five years later, and the brewery clan conflicts still persist. Curt's ambitious plans create tension with his son-in-law Roman, while a potential new rival emerges. Even if you have not read the story, which would be weird given that it is one of Russia's most famous fairy tales, you have probably seen the famous painting by Illya Repin of the beloved underwater tale, but now we also have the first images from the big screen movie adaptation of SADKO(Садко). The tale was previously turned into a classic movie back in 1953. The new film is set to hit theatres in March 2028. Ivan Oganesov is directing this marvelous sea adventure. The new version will have a musical tone to it as well. I will post a trailer as soon as we get one.

THE STORY OF THE FILM FOLOWS

 legendary gusli player Sadko, who, penniless but with his gusli slung over his shoulder, returns to Veliky Novgorod, the ever bustling seafaring and trade capital of Old Russia, after long wanderings. By chance, he meets Princess Lyubava and immediately falls in love. However, evil lady Glafira forces the girl to marry the wealthy tsar for a large ransom. To win his beloved's hand, Sadko makes a deal with the Sea King down in the Kingdom of the Sea. 

 WHO WILL BE IN THE CAST?

 Back in November I told you that young  Anton Rogachev was set as the lead next to Anna Peresild as the princess and Nikolai Valuev, who has been cast as a troll. Nikita Kologrivy and Elizaveta Ishchenko will play a battle sailor Buslai and a warrior Randgrid. The cast will also include Yuri Stoyanov, Roman Vasiliev, Kristina Babushkina, Alexey Dmitriev, Robert Zakharyan, Alina Babenko and other actors.

I first mentioned  gorgeous period set drama movie PRISONERS OF PARADISE from director Mitch Jenkins more than four years ago but the film underwent a difficult road after its director died unexpectedly. It is now finally ready to hit the cinemas this August in Europe and US and we have a trailer to prove it. Set in 1925, Mauritius, at a time of social tension, this island

paradise is the backdrop for a coming of age love story. Orphaned, 19 year old, Lucy Gladwell has been sent from England to live under the guardianship of her uncle George. Netflix has revealed some brand new images showing the lead cast of their new Spanish language period set series THE FINAL PROBLEM based on the bestselling novel of the same name by acclaimed Spanish author Arturo Pérez-Reverte. Thisnew five episode mini series blends thriller and mystery in an immersive period setting starring Jose Coronado, María Valverde, Martiño Rivas, Maribel Verdú, Gonzalo de Castro, Cristina Kovani, José Condessa and Pepón Nieto. It has been revealed today that the series will be available for streaming globally from September 25th so you can have a glamorous new mystery series to look forward to this Autumn and below the post you can also check out the announcement teaser trailer! You can also check out the character posters which I posted in our previous article on this drama last year.  This is not the only new period set series coming to the streamer from Espagna, as sometime later this year we can also expect their Lobo medieval series.
