According to Deadline, Noho Film and Television have bought the rights for a TV series adaptation of Zac Hammett's SEE YOU AT THE FINISH LINE for a six figure amount. Published earlier this year, the book follows Lucas, a sharp-witted, working-class rower, and George, an American golden-boy captain, whose uneasy alliance evolves into a tender but combustible love story against the backdrop of the famous boat race between Oxford and Cambridge universities.

There are a couple of gay themed movies at Cannes this year, among them is THE HISTORY OF SOUND with gay icons Josh O'Connor andPaul Mescal as two young men during World War
I who set out to record the lives, voices and music of their American
countrymen. In this snatched, short-lived moment in their young lives,
and while discovering the epic sweep of the U.S., both men are deeply changed. This historical romantic drama film, directed by Oliver Hermanus is based on the short story of the same name by Ben Shattuck. Some critics have called it moving and tasteful in the first reviews from Cannes.
PILLION WITH ALEXANDER SKARSGARD
Then
there is something that
contains, as far as I have heard tons of extreme graphic sex and
Alexander Skarsgard has said their shooting was very intense. Fun and
filthy romance with heart PILLION follows Colin (Harry Melling), a weedy wallflower letting life pass him by.
That is until Ray (SkarsgÄrd), the impossibly handsome leader of a
motorbike club, takes him on as his submissive. Ray uproots Colin from
his dreary suburban life,
introducing him to a community of kinky, queer bikers and taking all
sorts of virginities along the way. But as Colin steps deeper into Ray’s
world of rules and mysteries, he begins to question whether the life of
a 24/7 submissive is for him.
PLAINCLOTHES WITH RUSSELL TOVEY
This one did not hit Cannes, but gay romantic drama PLAINCLOTHES is also arriving this year. Russell Tovey and Tom Blyth have been set as leads in the indie moviefrom Carmen Emmi who directed this story which she also wrote. Set in the ’90s and inspired by true events, it follows a working-class undercover officer who is tasked with
entrapping and apprehending gay men, only to find himself drawn to one

Rings of Power Elrond star Robert Aramayo and Fionn O'Shea play a 1920's gay novelist and his psychiatric nurse who bond over a series of doctor-ordered 'dates' as he tells the story of a

procedure to cure themselves of feelings for each other. Our dearest German superstar Louis Hofmann

After having a successful life at movie festivals and scoring some awards, romantic comedy A NICE INDIAN BOY is finally arriving to cinemas April 4th. Naveen Gavaskar (Karan Soni) is a self-effacing, soft-spoken doctor with a boisterous mother, seemingly perfect sister

and quiet father. The Gavaskars are outwardly accepting of Naveen's sexuality but have never had to confront it in practice. While at temple, Naveen meets Jay Kurundkar (Jonathan Groff), a white man adopted by two Indian parents. Naveen is slowly charmed and softened by Jay's sincerity and confidence. They fall in love even as Naveen avoids telling his family about Jay. One afternoon, they run into Naveen's brother-in-law and an embarrassed Naveen describes Jay as a "friend". The encounter precipitates a discussion in which Naveen admits that he, like Jay, dreams of having a big Indian wedding. Now, Jay, who has no family of his own, must meet the Gavaskars. This causes a collision between the family, Jay, who has his own insecurities, and Naveen, caught between who he is with his family and who he is outside of it. After comic misunderstandings, frank fights, and emotional revelations, the family falls apart, questioning everything. Naveen and Jay's hard-won love makes each of the Gavaskars face the reality of their own relationships. And through a sweetly woven reconciliation, they come together again to plan Naveen and Jay's own big, Indian wedding.
I have to admit I originally wasn't attracted to this one probably because I did not find the cast overly interesting, but then I've seen a couple of very
