MAX UNVEILS IMAGES
FROM MERTEUIL FRENCH COSTUME SERIES
Max has revealed first images from their new French original series MERTEUIL which has started shooting in Normandy back in September with Anamaria Vartolomei (Isabelle de Merteuil), Diane Kruger (Madame de Rosemonde), Vincent Lacoste (Vicomte de Valmont) and Lucas Bravo (Comte de Gercourt). With grandiose and intimate settings, from the cliffs of Normandy
to the châteaux of Ile-de-France, the series follows Marquise de
Merteuil who, betrayed by Valmont, embarks on a daring journey to become
Paris’ leading courtesan! To be the hero of your own story, you
sometimes have to be the villain in others. English title for the series will be THE SEDUCTION. It will be a free adaptation
of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
Almost didn't recognize Diane Kruger here...I guess we all get older...
ReplyDeleteShe looks younger in that other series that I posted the first photo from earlier this week.
DeleteYes! I am finding out that to be a hero in my own story I must be a villain in others. This year I've probably pissed off more people than I have in my entire life. Finally learning to say NO after years of being a people pleaser. Normally I do so much for others to the point it makes me sick with stress, but I've been saying no to most requests, or hey I don't like the way you acted, or even taking first dibs when I've always taken the crumbs. I even got into a mini fight with a lady at the greenhouse. She wanted the Christmas tree I already paid for, even tried getting her husband to load it into her truck before I let it be known I wasn't backing down. Last year I would have given it up to avoid confrontation and just went with our second pick, but I was like, "eff her. This is MY year! That's MY tree!" Allison was like "um, are we in a tv skit? I've only seen people fight over trees in the movies!" LOL
ReplyDeleteWe all have the melting point of our lives, deary. I think you would find yourself in The Wedding People book that I am currently translating, it just won best fiction of the year at GoodReads, the lead character is a woman who gets fed up after swallowing everything all her life.
DeleteHope the tree is happier with you than with that biyach LOL
Just added that one to my online library to check out when it becomes available. Looks like there's an 8 week waiting list on that title.
DeleteI am glad I'm having this melting point now. Wish I would have discovered this side of me years ago. I've been finding out who's my friend because of what I do for them or what I can give them or if they generally like me for me. And if I call them out on their behavior and they get defensive instead of acknowledging why I'm upset, I know it's time to cut ties. It's been a very transformative year in that respect!
Hope the transformation continues!
