FOR THE SEDUCTION COSTUME SERIES

HBO Max has revealed brand new trailer for their new French original series THE SEDUCTION  (previously known as Merteuil) which was shot over in Normandy last Autumn with Anamaria Vartolomei (Isabelle de Merteuil), Diane Kruger (Madame de Rosemonde), Vincent Lacoste (Vicomte de Valmont) and Lucas Bravo (Comte de Gercourt). The series will start streaming its six episodes weekly from November 14th!  You can check out the trailer that really struggles to look sexy and tell us what you think below.

 

 WHAT IS THE STORY?

 With grandiose and intimate settings, from the cliffs of  Normandy to the châteaux of Ile-de-France, the seriesfollows Marquise de Merteuil who, betrayed by Valmont, embarks on a daring journey to become Paris’ leading courtesan! To be the hero of your own story, you sometimes have to be the villain in others. English title for the series will be THE SEDUCTION as it is a thrilling exploration of the price of emotional and sexual freedom in a world where women had little. It will be a free adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses! Noée Abita also stars as Madame de Tourvel, Julien de Saint-Jean as as Louis de Germain, Fantine Harduin as Cécile de Volanges, Samuel Kircher as Chevalier Danceny, and Sandrine Blancke as Madame de Volanges.

Filming is already away over in United Kingdom for new movie thriller TURN UP THE SUN written and directed by Welsh filmmaker Jamie Adams with James McAvoy and Lucas Bravo leading the cast in the movie about two couples that accidentally book the same countryside mansion for a weekend of work and pleasure but discover things may not be as they seem. The ladies will be played by Aisling Franciosi and Almudena Amor according to Deadline.

Mrs Harris goes to Paris this July

it is finally getting a big screen movie adaptation (it had two small screen ones before) which is ready to strut its way into cinemas July 15th in United States and September 30th in the United Kingdom and Spain. Most of Europe, Australia and South America will see it as soon as July 14th! Directed by Anthony Fabian the film stars Lesley Manville, Lambert Wilson, Jason Isaacs, Anna Chancellor, Isabelle Huppert, Lucas Bravo, Freddie Fox, Christian McKay and Rose Williams. The film was shot in Hungarian capital Budapest instead of Paris during the Covid outbreak.

 in partnership with the House of Dior, tells the story of a widowed cleaning lady in 1950s London who falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress, and

WHOM WILL WE MEET AT THE HOUSE OF DIOR?

As WhatToWatch writes, Lesley Manville takes the leading role of Mrs Ada Harris as the down-to-earth cleaner embarks on a life changing journey to Paris. Jason Isaacs plays Archie, while French actress Isabelle Huppert plays Claudine Colbert, a senior employee of the House of Dior who after initially being a little frosty helps Mrs Harris achieve her designer dress dream. Ada's upper class employer in London where she first spots a Dior dress. Lambert Wilson is Marquis de Chassagne who helps Ada at the House of Dior after she arrives and is almost thrown out. Lucas Bravo plays André Fauvel the accountant at The House of Dior in love with model Natasha (Alba Baptista). André invites Mrs Harris to stay with him while she has the numerous dress fittings required for her Dior dress, and she, in turn, helps André to woo the woman of his dreams, Natasha, who at the beginning of the film sees him as nothing more than a boring accountant.
