NETFLIX RELEASES FIRST TEASER FOR ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE EPIC TV SERIES ADAPTATION

   100 YEARS OF SOLITUDE
EPIC TEASER FOR NEW NETFLIX TV SERIES
I almost forgot that this one was in the making, but Netflix has sent us the first teaser for TV series adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez' ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE which will arrive sometime this year with sixteen episodes following the Buendía family and the founding of the mythical town of Macondo.
 MARRIED AGAINST THEIR PARENTS'
wishes, cousins José Arcadio Buendía (Marco Gonzalez) and Úrsula Iguarán (Susana Morales) leave their village behind and embark on a long journey in search of a new home. Accompanied by friends and adventurers, their journey culminates with the founding of a utopian town on the banks of a river of prehistoric stones that they baptize Macondo. Several generations of the Buendía lineage will mark the future of this mythical town, tormented by madness, impossible loves, a bloody and absurd war, and the fear of a terrible curse that condemns them, without hope, to one hundred years of solitude.

ANTONIO VIVALDI BIOPIC IN THE WORKS TO BE HELMED BY OSCAR WINNING BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY EDITOR

    VIVALDI MOVIE BIOPIC
IN THE WORKS WITH JOHN OTTMAN
Beside Amadeus series and Ravel movie, we are now getting a biopic on VIVALDI as well to be helmed by John Ottman, Bohemian Rhapsody Oscar winning editor according to Variety. Much of Vivaldi’s work was mysteriously lost for over 200 years, only to be rediscovered during World War I. Today, Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” is one of the most recognizable, recorded and performed classical composition in the world. Vivaldi joined the priesthood in the early 18th century to be commissioned to write music, much to chagrin of his jealous rival and church hierarchy. His first assignment was that of music director of an all-female orphanage orchestra where he developed a secret affair with a teacher. The film will tell his story of forbidden love, deceit and the transformative power of music.

PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON DISNEY PLUS HISTORICAL MINI TV SERIES SHARDLAKE WITH ARTHUR HUGHES, SEAN BEAN AND ANTHONY BOYLE! AIR DATE AND TRAILER

 SHARDLAKE AIRDATE IS HERE
FOR DISNEY'S NEW EPIC MINI TV SERIES
Disney Plus has graced us with the new trailer and streaming launch date (May 1st) for their and Hulu's historical mystery series SHARDLAKE which,
Shardlake starts this May on Disney Plus
based on the best-selling novels by CJ Sansom, sees lovely Arthur Hughes playing Matthew Shardlake, a lawyer with an acute sense of justice and one of the few honest men in a world beset with scheming and plots. Shardlake works for Thomas Cromwell (Sean Bean) the dangerous and all-powerful right-hand man to Henry VIII.

 STORY OF SHARDLAKE SERIES
Despite Shardlake’s unwavering loyalty to Cromwell and the Crown, his position in society is unfavoured due to his appearance, as a person living with scoliosis during the Tudor period, suffering the indignity of being abused as a “crookback” wherever he turns. Anthony Boyle plays the cocky and good-looking Jack Barak, who leaves Shardlake unsure of whether he is an assistant, or Cromwell’s spy. Drenched in mystery, suspense and deception, this four-part drama, is an eerie whodunnit adventure, set in 16th century England during the dissolution of the monasteries. Shardlake’s sheltered life as a lawyer is turned upside down when Cromwell instructs him to investigate the murder of one of his commissioners at a monastery in the remote town of Scarnsea. The commissioner was gathering evidence to close the monastery and it is now imperative for Cromwell’s own political survival that Shardlake both solves the murder and closes the monastery. He leaves Shardlake in no doubt that failure is not an option. Cromwell insists that he is accompanied by Jack Barak to Scarnsea, where the duo are met with hostility, suspicion and paranoia by the monks who fear for their future and will seemingly stop at nothing to preserve their order. PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON ROYAL TV SERIES MAXIMA ON THE LIFE OF QUEEN OF HOLLAND WHICH STARTS THIS MONTH

    MAXIMA TV SERIES
READY TO START LATER THIS MONTH
I was excited to see this one before, but after seeing the trailer I was seriously shocked by how atrociously miscast the female lead is, she looks nothing like the real queen and what is with that ugly pout? Who can watch her pouting so hideously for six episodes which is how long MAXIMA series about the Argentinian-born Dutch Queen Máxima lasts. How did Delfina Chaves seriously get cast in this one? Were they trying to humiliate real Maxima by casting such talentless actress? Just look at that horrible unroyal posture and stewardess dress in the first poster. Atrocious. Martijn Lakemeier plays her husband, Dutch king Willem in the series that hits Videoland streamer
April 20th with Beta Film distributing it around the world. Sebastian Koch stars as Claus von Amsberg, the father of Willem-Alexander, and Elsie de Brauw as Queen Beatrix. The series will probably air on RTL channels as well around Europe.

FROM THE MOMENT
Máxima Zorreguieta appears at the Dutch crown prince’s side, she finds herself in the spotlight. When Willem-Alexander asks her to marry him, the past catches up with her. Heated discussion erupts about her father’s political career in the Videla regime, a discussion she never faced in her own circles. What allows this Argentine to finally thrive at an old European court? And how can Máxima stay true to herself without giving up her family, or do these things not go together? The series will kick off with a present-day storyline starting in 1999 in Seville, when Máxima and Willem-Alexander meet for the first time. It  will then transition into a second storyline set in the past, where we see how Máxima was prepared for this step her entire life. When the press catches wind of her relationship with the crown prince, the pair find themselves on a roller coaster, that only slows down with the announcement of their engagement in 2001.
