UKTV's Alibi channel has shot a new six episode series from Mark Gatiss who also stars as a book shop-owning sleuth and we have thefirst trailer for it. With the start date set for July 16th, the series has also been renewed for a second season to arrive next year. Set in 1946 LondonBOOKISH will see him play the erudite and unconventional Gabriel Book, who helps the police to solve a variety of mysterious crimes from hisantiquarian bookshop. With three main cases in the brand new series starting this July, each storyline spans two episodes.

is the dynamic, dangerous and chaotic setting for this stylish new detective drama, with the eccentric Gabriel Book at the very heart of the story: a self-appointed consultant detective to the local police. The thousands of books that line the shelves of his shop provide him with all the knowledge he needs. Bookhas gathered around him a host of lovable, damaged misfits whom he informally protects, cajoles, and mentors.

 Polly Walker will play his wife Trottie, a charismatic adventuress whom Book loves but not physically, for they are in a ‘lavender’ marriage to concealBook’s sexual orientation in a time when it was illegal to be gay. Iain Glenn, Martin Compston, Emily Hampshire and Owen Teale all return to the cast alongside newcomers Ross Anderson, Phil McKee, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Johannes Roaldsen Fürst and Alice Krige (The Borg queen from Star Trek series). As you remember, the series followed workers on an isolated North Sea oil rig, who experience a disruption to their communications as a mysterious fog begins to surround them. BODIES which will stream from October 19th! The eight part thriller is a small screen adaptation of the 2015 graphic novel by Si Spencer. The story focuses on four detectives in four different London eras who find themselves investigating the same murder: 1890s overachiever Edmond Hillinghead (Kyle Soller), 1940s adventurer Karl Whiteman (Jacob Fortune Lloyd), 2010s Detective Sergeant Shahara Hasan (Amuka Okaflor) and Maplewood (Shira Haas), an amnesiac from post-apocalyptic 2050, who brings a haunting perspective. Together, the four set out to uncover a conspiracy spanning 150 years. Stephen Graham also stars.
