UKTV's Alibi channel has shot a new six episode series from Mark Gatiss who also stars as a book shop-owning sleuth and we have thefirst trailer for it. With the start date set for July 16th, the series has also been renewed for a second season to arrive next year. Set in 1946 LondonBOOKISH will see him play the erudite and unconventional Gabriel Book, who helps the police to solve a variety of mysterious crimes from hisantiquarian bookshop. With three main cases in the brand new series starting this July, each storyline spans two episodes.
 
  LONDON, 1946
is the dynamic, dangerous and chaotic setting for this stylish new detective drama, with the eccentric Gabriel Book at the very heart of the story: a self-appointed consultant detective to the local police. The thousands of books that line the shelves of his shop provide him with all the knowledge he needs. Bookhas gathered around him a host of lovable, damaged misfits whom he informally protects, cajoles, and mentors. 
 
 WHO IS IN  THE CAST?
 Polly Walker will play his wife Trottie, a charismatic adventuress whom Book loves but not physically, for they are in a ‘lavender’ marriage to concealBook’s sexual orientation in a time when it was illegal to be gay. Joely Richardson, Daniel Mays, Jonas Nay, Connor Finch, Elliot Leveyand Buket Kömür also star. Blake Harrison joins the returning core cast members as Sergeant Morris, with Rosie Cavaliero, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd,Tom Forbes, Amanda Drew, Luke Norris, Ella Bruccoleri and Michael Workéyè. THE COLOUR ROOM follows the journey of determined factory worker Clarice, who breaks the glass ceiling and revolutionises the 20th century workplace with her ambition and creativity. Working in a series of factories in the industrial Midlands of the 1920s, Clarice is brimming with ideas for colours and shapes and she ends up taking more and more dangerous risks, all while trying to temper the financial impact her constant moves have on her widowed mother Ann (Kerry Fox) and her youngest sister Dot (Darci Shaw). Clarice soon impresses Colley with her talent and innovation and is apprenticed to renowned art designer Fred Ridgeway. With support from Colley and other women in the factory, Clarice designs the unprecedented Art Deco 'Bizarre' range. Her innovative designs ensure the

Are you excited people? The fourth, and most probably the penultimate, season of popular British period set saga POLDARK starts its eight episode run next Sunday, June 10th on BBC, and for the viewers in Northern America on PBS Masterpiece later next Autumn September 30th! Everybody's favourite Captain Ross Poldark will, as he himself admits, sell his soul and go into politics after refusing to do so in previous three seasons. Tough times require drastic measures. SEASON FOUR OF POLDARK
set in the 18th century Cornwall will see Ross (Aidan Turner) putting himself as political rival to his dastardly enemy George Warleggan (Jack Farthing), and possibly moving to London. Turmoil will rule in his private

 York return as Demelza’s brothers Drake and Sam ready for a lot of new trouble with law. Series four will cover the happenings until the Christmas period of 1799. The fifth season will probably start with a ten year jump.

VILLAINOUS MONK ADDERLEY
When it comes to new faces in the cast, Max Bennett joins the crew as villainous member of parliament Monk Adderley who takes a particular interest in Demelza! He is an unscrupulous and very vivid society figure without conscience and loyalty.

FORMIDABLE LADY WHITWORTH
Meanwhile, Rebecca Front also joins the cast as Lady Whitworth, formidable mother of perverse reverend Osborne who does not care that her son loves to suck female toes in his free tme. The arrival of his overbearing mother will bring more trouble to Morwenna.
