And it truly is stellar: Simon West's World War II action adventure movie FORTITUDE has just cast Matthew Goode, Ed Skrein, Alice Eve, Jordi Molla, Ben Kingsley, Michael Sheen, Art Malik, Lukas Haas, Nicolas Cage. It is based on the true story of British Intelligence operatives using unprecedented strategic operations to fool Nazi leadership and help change the course of World War II through the brilliance of British Army officers Dudley Clarke and Thomas Argyll “Tar” Robertson, who deployed an elaborate web of deception campaigns, including fictitious armies, fake military equipment, and a network of double agents to mislead Nazi Intelligence. Today you can check out Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode in the first trailer from FREUD'S LAST SESSION movie! Set on the eve of the Second World War, it depicts a meeting between Freud and Narnia writer C.S. Lewis, at the psychoanalyst’s London home, during which they debate the existence of God. The film also explores Freud’s unique relationship with his daughter Anna (Liv Lisa Fries) and Lewis’ unconventional relationship with his best friend’s mother. It has not been confirmed yet officially by Netflix itself, but rumour has it that they have a 100 men strong team currently over in Morocco, actually since last summer, shooting a new hybrid docudrama on ALEXANDER THE GREAT which will feature both scripted and unscripted elements. Tony Mitchell is the show runner for Tailfeather Productions and Lion TV.

Sony Pictures has bought rights on Matt Brown's period set movie FREUD'S LAST SESSION which follows Sigmund Freud (Anthony Hopkins) on the eve of the Second World War and the end of his life, as he invites the iconic author C.S. Lewis (Matthew Goode) for a debate over the existence of God. It explores Freud’s unique relationship with his lesbian daughter Anna, as well as Lewis’ unconventional romance with his best friend’s mother. 

   SANDITON SEASON 3   

 FIRST IMAGES ARE HERE

Although the second season has just ended earlier this spring, PBS Masterpiece has released first photos from the third season of their historical costume drama SANDITON based on Jane Austen's final work. Brand new images offer a season 3 sneak peek at Rose Williams as Charlotte Heywood, Cai Brigden as Ralph Starling, Ben Lloyd-Hughes as Alexander Colbourne, Edward Davis as Lord Montrose and Crystal Clarke as Georgiana Lambe. You can follow all the romances, friendships and struggles of the residents and newcomers to the seaside resort town when the series returns sometime in 2023. After Leo Suter and Theo James who left season one, the third season will no longer have the character of Esther, lady Babington, played by Charlotte Spencer and we are guessing Tom Weston Jones' character has left the town as well.

Speaking of love stories, Sony has moved Celine Dion movie LOVE AGAIN (previously known as It's All Coming Back To Me and Text For You) to May 12th. Filled with Celine Dion's music, it follows Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mira Ray who, dealing with the loss of her fiancé, sends a series of romantic texts to his old cell phone number…not realizing the number was reassigned to Rob Burns’ (Sam Heughan) new work phone. A journalist, Rob is captivated by the honesty in the beautifully confessional texts. After those first photos that I showed you last week from THE SERPENT QUEEN series, Starz has just sent us the first epic trailer for the historical series about infamous Catherine de Medici revealing that the series will launch September 11th, much sooner than we expected. Samantha Morton leads the cast portraying the French queen and descendant of the legendary Italian noble family who believed it's safer to be feared than loved especially as life wasn't really kind to her forcing her to become cunning, sly and above all ruthless.

We finally have the first full trailer for new historical adventure MEDIEVAL which sees American actor Ben Foster playing Czech national

 a powerful figure in the famous Hussite wars in the medieval times. With the massive budget of about $20 million, the new historical movie was shot on the sets near Prague and around Czech republic. Superhunky Czech actor and judo champion Petr Jakl has both written and directed the movie! He is not the only athlete in the production as legendary Czech decathlon world recorder Roman Sebrle is also in the cast! International theatre release is now scheduled for September 9th when it will hit US cinemas as well with September 8th release in Czech republic.

WHAT'S THE MOVIE ABOUT? 

Ben Foster takes the lead role in the film

MEDIEVAL will follow their 14th century national hero Jan Zizka of Trocnov (Ben Foster), a revered military tactician who defeated armies of the Teutonic Order and the Holy Roman Empire. He is known for his innovative strategies and for quickly training peasants to face skilled and armoured  opponents who usually outnumbered his own troops. The historical adventure film will also have another storyline which will revolve around his relationship with king's lover, a rich heiress Catherine (Sophie Lowe), whom he is sent to save but unexpectedly falls in love with her, while another storyline will describe his fight against a rival king.

WHO ELSE IS IN THE CAST?

Our favourite William Moseley plays Jan's brother Jaroslav, legendary Michael Caine is Lord Boresh the right hand of Czech King Wenceslaus and German superstar Til Schweiger is Rosenberg, the richest lord in the kingdom. British thespian Matthew Goode will portray King Sigismund of  Hungary and Croatia, the brother of Czech King Wenceslaus, and if my eyes are not playing with me he will have a blondish hair in the movie! Czech actor Karel Roden is playing King Wenceslaus himself!

I am personally a bit disappointed with the trailer as the film in it looks a bit cheap and Ben proves he is just not up to the task due to lack of talent and charisma, especially for this kind of role, not to mention he looks too much
