 Macedonian warlord. The adaptation of Annabel Lyon's book The Golden Mean, has the following plot: as the Athenian empire crumbles, the world’s greatest mind, Aristotle, arrives in Macedonia to tutor a volatile young prince Alexander. Amid palace intrigue, forbidden love, brutal war and ruthless ambitions, their unlikely friendship shapes an empire and alters the course of history. This brand new historical television series will reimagine the classic power struggle between mentor and protégé with a raw, modern energy that feels both epic and incredibly intimate. Hope they cast actors better than the bland ones in Heated Rivalry. Jason Bateman is the executive producer.

Although the comic book will be out next year, David Franzoni is already planning to turn his ALEXANDER IMMORTAL into an epic TV series

Franzoni will run the show with his son

about the famous ruler.  Driven by an unyielding ambition, Alexander the Great set out to conquer the known world, his legendary army unstoppable. But as he plunges into the heart of India, a land alive with mystical secrets and fierce warriors, Alexander faces his deadliest challenge. Here, amidst epic battles and ancient wisdom, he discovers that the true conquest is not of empires but of his own soul. The graphic novel explores his journey through the challenges of rebellion and self-discovery against the backdrop of ancient India. Franzoni will be the showrunner and executive producer with his son Hudson over at Starlings Television.

Netflix has sent us exciting first trailer, after those first images last month, from their new historical documentary drama that will arrive to the streamer January 31st with six hourlong episodes. ALEXANDER: THE MAKING OF A GOD comes from Tony Mitchell, the show's creator and describes the life of Alexander the Great, the king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon.

 SHOT LAST YEAR IN MOROCCO

this new series is combining expert interviews with gripping reenactments, and the story explores the life of Alexander the Great through his conquest of the Persian Empire. With Mido Hamada portraying Persian King Darius, crazy gorgeous and insanely charismatic Buck Braithwaite, whom you will also watch next month in Masters of the Air war series, is taking the lead role of Alexander himself. It has not been confirmed yet officially by Netflix itself, but rumour has it that they have a 100 men strong team currently over in Morocco, actually since last summer, shooting a new hybrid docudrama on ALEXANDER THE GREAT which will feature both scripted and unscripted elements. Tony Mitchell is the show runner for Tailfeather Productions and Lion TV.

It will be a stellar cast: Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Alessandro Nivola, Felicity Jones will lead Brad Corbet's period set movie THE BRUTALIST which chronicles thirty years of an artist’s life. When visionary architect László Toth (Brody) and his wife Erzsébet (Jones) flee post-war Europe to rebuild their legacy in America, a mysterious and wealthy client (Pearce) ends up changing their lives forever. The biopic is already shooting in Hungary!

Speaking of a thespian cast, check out Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode in the first image from FREUD'S LAST SESSION movie! Set on the eve of the Second World War, it depicts a meeting between Freud and Narnia writer C.S. Lewis, at the psychoanalyst’s London home, during which they debate the existence of God. The film also explores Freud’s unique relationship with his daughter Anna (Liv Lisa Fries) and Lewis’ unconventional relationship with his best friend’s mother. The stellar cast also has Orla Brady, Jeremy Northam and Stephen Campbell Moore.

currently in advanced stages of developing historical series on ALEXANDER THE GREAT and spy thriller series RED WINTER about the imperial family of Romanovs! The pilot for Alexander the Great, which will be shot in Greece, is being written by Tudors and Vikings creator Michael Hirst, while the Romanovs series, written by Stephen Kronish, is being done in the collaboration with Russia's national broadcaster Russia 1 and German ZDF. Together with Brendan Foley, they are also preparing SHERLOCK'S DAUGHTER series, a new take on the world’s greatest detective, following a young American woman who, after the mysterious

El Cid will be getting another season after the first aired last month

murder of her mother, travels to London to track down her biological father – the legendary Sherlock Holmes. But Holmes is not the mythical figure Amelia has come to expect.
