  THE GREAT CHIMERA

NEW GREEK PERIOD SET TV SERIES

The series will stream on Walter Presents

We are flying off down to Greece today because I want to present you their new period set series THE GREAT CHIMERA which will be available for streaming for US viewers on Walter Presents channel at Prime Video and was also bought by SBS streamer in Australia. The series is a small screen adaptation of a popular Greek novel from M. Karagatsis and the six part saga has broken viewing records on Greek national broadcaster earlier this year. Their most expensive series ever is set in the 1930s. You can see English language trailer below the post.

THE SERIES FOLLOWS

Marina, a woman driven by overwhelming passion and an obsessive pursuit of happiness, a force that gradually consumes both her and those around her. She falls in love, marries, and follows her husband to Syros, settling into his ancestral home in Episkopi, where she lives under the oppressive and judgmental presence of her mother in law. As Marina ties her emotional world to her husband's shipping ventures, her inner turmoil begins to echo through their shared life, blurring the line between personal desire and external fate. When financial collapse arrives alongside her psychological decline, love, ambition, and loss become tightly entwined, drawing everyone into a destructive cycle where intense emotion shapes destiny.
