And it is such a massively stellar ensemble movie: Sir Ian McKellen's movie FRANK AND PERCY which also stars Roger Allam will also have Hugh Skinner, Sir Stephen Fry, Dame Joanna Lumley, Sir DerekJacobi, Rob Brydonand Dame Sian Phillips in the cast. The story follows two older men who meet while walking their dogs on Hampstead Heath. What begins as a casual conversation about the weather and aching hips gradually deepens into an unexpected friendship – and perhaps something more. Prime Video has released exclusive and rather stunning and rich first images from their  new epic series from Michael Hirst, the creator of Vikings and Tudors. BLOOD AXE will chronicle the rise of one of history’s most famous Viking warriors, Erik Bloodaxe, and his formidable wife, Gunnhild, Mother of Kings. As they fight for the throne of Norway, the land is torn apart by fierce rivals, shifting loyalties, and bloody betrayals. With war looming and chaos consuming the kingdom, drawing in the ruthless Kings of other Scandinavian countries, and even a powerful English ruler, the stage is set for a thundering, cataclysmic, compelling and utterly magical new Viking Saga. It is not connected in any way with Vikings Valhalla but will be set decades before its story. Michael's son Horatio Hirst, who starred in Valhalla, has written the new series with him. The series does not have an official airing date yet but it is expected to arrive early next year, probably January. The eight episode series already got an order for the second season which is shooting over in Ireland as we speak.

   

WHO IS IN THE CAST?

The cast of the new series will be led byXavier Molyneux in the role of Erik Bloodaxe while Jessica Madsen plays his wife, Gunnhild, the Mother of Kings. Mads Reuther has been added as Sigurd, the Jarl of Hladir, a scheming Norwegian chieftan and ally of Haakon (Levi Miller), the younger half-brother of Erik Bloodaxe. Saku Taittonen will be Knut, one of the brothers of Gunnhild, a warrior struggling with conflicting loyalties to his sister and their father, King Gorm of Denmark (Rune Temte). Marc Rissmann will play Greycloak, the eldest brother of Erik Bloodaxe! Gard Løkke will be a series regular together with Alina Tomnikov, Sisse Marie, Rod Hallett and Jesper Christensen as king Harald Fairhair, while Melina Åkerman, our dearest Kieran Bew, Sebastian Bull and George Burgess will appear in recurring roles.

As he settles into his room for the night, the traveller is visited by an uncanny man in black, with a story to tell. Set against the backdrop of revolutionary uprisings in France, it follows the character of Jean Valjean, a peasant sentenced to five years’ hard labour for stealing a loaf of bread whose story spans several years as he is released from prison and reintegrated into society, yet pursued by a police inspector on his trail. Vincent Lindon plays Jean Valjean, with Tahar Rahim as his nemesis Inspector Javert. Benjamin Lavernhe and Camille Cottin are evil innkeepers Thénardier and Madame Thénardier. Noemie Merlant plays the tragic figure of Fantine, whose daughter, Cosette, Valjean takes in as his own.The movie is scheduled to arrive to the cinemas on October 14th 2026. According to Deadline, Netflix has nabbed TV adaptation rights on AMERICAN ROYALS young adult fantasy book by Katharine McGee which imagines an alternate history where George Washington was anointed king of the United States instead of being elected President and chronicles the lives of his young dependents. As customary for the YA adult genre, there is romance, with two princesses vying for the ultimate crown and two girls vying for the prince’s heart. Ted Malawer is penning the script after working on Prime Video's Red, White and Royal Blue. The book series itself has four books.

Intriguing blind date Cai (Callum Scott Howells) runs the true-crime site but swears he didn’t post it. The police say it’s a hoax, but Anna’s family have vanished. It is based on Vanessa Savage's novel.
