I already mentioned this one to you when French historical series UNCHAINED  (Enchainés) competed earlier this year at Seriemania. 

The series aired in France in May

This six episode drama has the story set in Bourbon Island, 1806. A devastating cyclone leaves Charles Bellevue’s plantation in ruins. Bankrupt, he is forced to sell his lands, leaving his slaves in terror of being separated. Among them, Isaac refuses to accept his fate. He has just discovered that Charles Bellevue is not only his master: he is his father. Fueled by rage and an insatiable desire for freedom, Isaac persuades Charles to keep the plantation. Impressed by his resolve, Charles appoints him as overseer. Now, Isaac must balance his newfound power with his urge to protect his people. The brand new historical series was done for their national broadcaster France Television where it already aired back in May. ITV and ITVX have released a poster and a trailer for their new TV series THE BLAME a six episode drama that dives into secrets, suspicion

The series will arrive this Autumn to ITV

 and systemic corruption - all under the surface of this seemingly quiet town. The series begins when the body of teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen is discovered sending shock waves through the town of Wake- stead. As DI Crane (played by Michelle Keegan) and DI Radley (Douglas Booth) dig deeper, what starts as a tragic death, spirals into a tangled web of lies, institutional cover-ups, andmoral compromise. As the clock ticks and trust fractures, Crane must navigate both a murder investigation and the treacherous politics inside her own team. Joe Armstrong and Ian Hart also star.  The six episode series will air from Sunday September 20th in UK. THE STORY OF

The Remarried Empress follows the strained relationship of beloved Empress Navier (Shin Mina) and her husband Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Jihoon) of the Eastern Kingdom. With anxieties rising across the kingdom, the couple's relationship begins to fracture when Sovieshu falls in love with a runaway slave and attempts to move heaven and earth to win her heart. Unwilling to compromise her dignity, Navier acquiesces to the emperor's requests on one condition — that she be allowed to remarry rival Crown Prince Heinrey (Lee Jongsuk) of the Western Kingdom. Among the slate of new Mexican series in which Netflix will invest one billion dollars in the upcoming years, is also MAL DE AMORES or LOVESICK  a TV series adaptation of Ángeles Mastretta’s novel. Directed by her daughter, Catalina Aguilar Mastretta, the series, which will stream from September 2nd, is set during the Mexican Revolution and follows Emilia Sauri, a woman torn between two passionate loves while navigating a world dominated by violence and revolution. It shows the political history of a country through the intimate life of Emilia Sauri, her family and her loves. The series tells the parallel story of the evolution of a country and Emilia's own growth. Renata Vaca will play Emilia, a woman who fights for her convictions, without renouncing her feelings. Juan Pablo Fuentes will give life to Daniel Cuenca, a revolutionary adventurer, and Ivan Amozurrutia will incarnate Dr. Antonio Zavalza, a doctor who seeks peace in the midst of civil conflict.

James(Nicholas Ralph) is excited about new developments in veterinary medicine, but a new vet in the area threatens the status quo. The world at large may be changing, but inside this slice of Yorkshire, the Dales will always offer the same perfect escapism. Packed with warmth, humour and community spirit, the series brings more heartwarming tales of people and animals alike. Apple TV Plus has released first images from their new heist series 12 12 12 which unfolds across three timelines of a heist: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days following the heist. The series follows a disgraced FBI agent (Anthony Mackie) and an American career criminal (Jamie Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich. Jack Kesy will play Dornan's brother also involved in the heist. The series will have a two episode premiere November 13 with the last of the eight episodes streaming at Christmas.

Netflix has announced today a slate of new UK originals, including a new five episode television series THE UNHEARD which will have Kate Winslet and Maxine Peake as leads. Jack Thorne is writing the series which follows two sisters who go on the run after an act of vengeance goes disastrously wrong, forcing them to question what pushed them to this reckless act in the first place.

 

TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED

A stellar cast will star in Roald Dahl's inspired six part series TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED which will star Imelda Staunton, Dominic West, Michael Socha and Toby Jones among other names. This twisted tale will follow a young couple marooned in a faded seaside town where they must navigate conmen, adulterers, and murderous mothers to escape their sealed fate.

 

HOW TO KILL YOUR FAMILY

Anya Taylor Joy will lead eight part series based on Bella Mackie's book HOW TO KILL YOUR FAMILY as Grace Bernard, the rejected, illegitimate daughter of a ruthless billionaire (Clive Owen). When her mother dies, Grace channels her anger into systematically, and creatively, killing off her estranged extended family to secure her revenge and a hefty inheritance.

According to Screen Daily, Emily Watson has joined the cast of MARS EXPRESS movie which is a directorial debut of actor Mackenzie Crook. She and Toby Jones will play Colin and Judith Pillinger in the film that follows their mission to find life on Mars back in the late 1990s. With no prior experience of building a spacecraft, the English farmers pulled together a team of misfits who took on NASA and almost won. As you know, we will watch Emily also in Dune: Prophecy sf series second season later this year over at HBO.

After a successful run over at U&Alibi channel cosy crime period set series BOOKISH will from August 26th start airing second season which will see Mark Gatiss return to the role of 1946. London book keeper turned investigator with Polly Walker as his wife and gorgeous Connor Finch as his right hand and below you can also see teaser from the second season which is scheduled to arrive later next week. Joining them in new season are Miranda Richardson,Jason Watkins, Rupert Graves to name just some of the more famous names. Returning cast also includes Elliot Levey as Inspector Bliss, Blake Harrison as Sergeant Morris and Buket Kömür as Nora. The series also sees the return of Rosie Cavaliero as Ada Dredge, Gerard Horan as Mr Baseheart, Nadia Albina as Dr Calder and Jonas Nay as Felix. The series has also been renewed for season 3 and will also have a two part Christmas special these holidays and you can see below the first image from it.

IN THE SECOND SEASON OF THE SERIES
