NEW TV SERIES ADAPTATION IMAGES FROM NETFLIX

With Florence Pugh and Christopher Abbott in the lead roles, Netflix has announced October 1st as the streaming date for their new  EAST OF EDEN mini series adaptation of Steinbeck's classic novel produced by Zoe Kazan, whose grandad Elia directed the original film! Also starring in the new series adaptation are Ciaran Hinds, Mike Faist (in the role originally played by James Dean) and Hoon Lee. 

WHAT IS THE SERIES ABOUT?

 Set in California’s Salinas Valley over a period that stretches from the Civil War to the end of World War I, the epic novel tells the interconnected stories of the Hamilton family, an Irish immigrant family with nine children, and the Trask family, lead by the wealthy Adam Trask (to be played by Abbott in the seven part series). The story eventually narrows its focus to center around the Trask family and the drama surrounding Adam, his wife Cathy and their sons Cal and Aron. The Ministry of time is a newly established government department gathering

The series will have six episodes

‘expats’ from across history in an experiment to test the viability of time-travel. Our heroine Sophy achieves a hard fought promotion in the civil service, only to learn that her role is to help a time traveller acclimatise to the modern world as part of a top secret Ministry programme. Ben Reeves' book will become a movie

A bunch of new book adaptations today for you, starting with Marc Turletaub who will helm movie adaptation of Ben Reeves novel EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURT which tells the story of Travis, who lives with his cat in a small, gray town. His job is to offer people comfort in their final hours of life, which he does without complaint or judgment. But when Travis meets Dalia, a midwife, and her boisterous eight-year-old daughter Layla, who live across the hall, he begins to understand what it means to be truly alive and what might be irrevocably lost in death. No news on the possible stars yet, but stay tuned, we will continue following the project.

Raised alone by his working-class mum, Sylvia (Joanna Scanlan), Martin wins a scholarship to an elite boarding school, where he first meets Ben. Variety has Today we are over in Romania, as I have a trailer for Sergiu Celibidache biopic THE YELLOW TIE in which John Malkovich plays the famous Romanian conductor.
