For reasons unknown, Sam Claflin has backed away from THE SEVENTH SON (I'm guessing he got some more lucrative offers after his success in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN),and he will
be replaced by Ben Barnes (THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA, DORIAN GRAY) who will now join Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges in this magical adventure about a young apprentice (Barnes) of a powerful exorcist and magician (Bridges) who must battle with evil witch (Moore). Now this is quite a strange pairing, but it seems that Clint Eastwood, who is planning a remake of musical film A STAR IS BORN in which Beyonce will play a singer, wants Leonardo DiCaprio as a movie star who helps the young singer to achieve fame. Russell Crowe, Jon Hamm, Gerard Butler and even Will Smith have been previously mentioned for the role. I think Hugh Jackman would fit this role best.
One of our dearest Hollywood faces John Krasinski (THE OFFICE) is preparing a show together with HBO. He came to and idea about a show which would be set in a hotel near his house. It happens to be CHATEAU MARMONT, one of Hollywood's oldest and most prestigious landmarks. The mini series will probably have eight episodes and will follow everything that was happening in the famous and glamorous hotel from its opening in the 1920's till today. Krasinki will both star and produce the show, while the script will be written by Aaron Sorkin who wrote THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
The first trailer for Stephen Spielberg's new film WAR HORSE has just been released. Set in the rural England and Europe
during the First World War, the film follows the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets - British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter, before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man's Land. The film stars Jeremy Irvine, Toby Kebbell, Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston ... and is out December 28th!
According to "Deadline" a highly anticipated prequel to legendary epic 300 previously titled XERXES has changed its name into
300: BATTLE OF ARTEMISIA. Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel and shot in the same style as 300, the prequel will be set a decade before the original film following the events and battles which actually made Persian ruler Xerxes so powerful. Since Zack Snyder won't be able to take the helm being preoccupied with his MAN OF STEEL Superman film, Warner Bros. is deciding between Noam Murro and Jaume Collet Serra (ORPHAN, HOUSE OF VAX) for the new director. Strange choice I must admit.
It seems that the cast for THE PAPERBOY is getting stellar, after Nicole Kidman has joined Matthew McConaughey and Zac
Efron. The film will follow two reporters who are investigating the story behind a Death Row prisoner. Nicole will play a mysterious lady who writes letters to Death Row inmates. I personally don't understand the sudden resurrection of Jeff Bridges in Hollywood, but he will star in sf film THE GIVER, set in a utopian society where all the memories of human history have been erased with a young boy being assigned to be The Giver of his community, which means he has to bear all of his community's past experiences and emotions, in case a time comes when they will be of use.
Check out the first rather gory character posters from the remake of FRIGHT NIGHT which is coming out this September. With
quite a stellar cast the film follows a popular high school kid Charlie (Anthon Yelchin) whose troubles start when a new neighbor (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right, which everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an
unmistakable conclusion: the guy is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself using the help of his girlfriend (Imogen Poots) and of a crazy magician (David Tennant).
Ah, so today we are having a trailer day, with two stunning and absolutely breathtaking movie videos. But before that, check out the short headlines: Christopher Meloni (oh, do you remember
him from OZ?) who is in talks to star in MAN OF STEEL, won't play Lex Luthor, but some general as "Vulture" reports. Fox is preparing a film adaptation of Justin Cronin's book PASSAGE, about a scientific experiment gone horribly awry that unleashes a new breed of vampires on society: vampires which also have the ability to read minds. Ridley Scott is producing. Although it didn't break records at the box office Warner Bros. is ready to greenlit the sequel to GREEN LANTERN! The film has earned less than $100 million so far in USA.
After we've seen the stunning poster and some adorable pictures, we finally have an absolutely mindblowing and mesmerizing first teaser for Pixar's animated film BRAVE which is coming to
cinemas next year. Set in medieval Scotland it follows the impetuous, tangle-haired princess Merida, who wants to become world's greatest archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father's kingdom and her mother's life. Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right! The voice cast includes Emma Thompson and Kevin McKidd! I swear you won't be able to breathe while watching this one!
And after the truly sensational and groundbreaking first trailer which amazed the audience around the world attracting great praise from the movie lovers, Tarsem Singh has released the
second absolutely stunning and grandiose trailer for his Greek epic IMMORTALS. The film follows the adventure of brave Theseus (Henry Cavill) who has to fight against the evil King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) on his bloodthirsty quest to release the Titans in their revengeful wrath. Secretly chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans), Theseus must stop Hyperion and his evil hordes with the help of his cunning slave (Stephen Dorff) and visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto). The film also stars John Hurt as Old Zeus, Kellan Lutz as Poseidon, Isabel Lucas as Athena, Corey Sevier as Apollo! This will be the biggest visual feast ever!
LINK OF THE DAY pop over to Kal's cave for some hilarious MEOW MIX if you like crazy cats, and I know you do :)
Gorgeous young actor and model Josh Pence (whom we will be seeing next year in sf epic BATTLESHIP and in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES as young Ra's Al Ghul) will also star in HBO's charming new
comedy show MORE AS THIS STORY DEVELOPS which will follow comical situations in the backstage of a huge cable network with the cast which includes Jeff Daniels, Olivia Munn, Emily Mortimer... The casting for GAME OF THRONES second season has started with the shooting beginning next month, and the first new name in the cast is Natalie Dormer whom we loved to hate as evil and spoiled Anne Boleyn in THE TUDORS. She will play Margaery Tyrell, a wealthy lady who is betrothed to Renly Baratheon, the brother of the late King Robert.
Although, just two days ago I've informed you that SAFE HAVEN by Nicholas Sparks will be adapted by Lasse Hallstrom, yet
another of his novels has been sold for adaptation. As "Deadline" reports his upcoming book THE BEST OF ME has just been acquired by Warner Bros. The story follows two middle-aged people who were high school sweethearts but neither has lived the life they imagined . . . and neither can forget the passionate first love that forever altered their world. When they are both called back to their hometown for the funeral of the mentor who once gave them shelter, they will be forced to confront the choices each has made, and ask whether love can truly rewrite the past.
And check out a charming trailer for FLYPAPER which follows Tripp Kennedy (Patrick Dempsey) who ambles into a bank near closing time, just as two different gangs unwittingly converge to rob it. A shoot-out erupts, and Tripp tackles the smart, pretty teller, Kaitlin (Ashley Judd), to protect her. The gangs, one clearly made up of pros and the other a couple of buffoons named Peanut Butter and Jelly, have deadlocked themselves in a Mexican standoff. The bank's security system starts the end-of-day lock down and seals everyone into the building. As the night evolves, a hilarious game of cat and mouse ensues as Tripp and Kaitlin try to save the day, escape being killed, and avoid falling in love . . . almost.
Although I'm not personally overly excited about it, new sf hit directed by John FavreauCOWBOYS & ALIENS could very easily become the biggest blockbuster of the summer 2011 after it premieres on July 29th. Having a James Bond Daniel Craig
and an Indiana Jones Harrison Ford in the cast alongside gorgeous Olivia Wilde, with the plot in which cowboys, gangsters and Indians fight against aliens, the film could attract a big audience.
COWBOY & ALIENS TIDBITS
The story was written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman who brought us the brilliant script of STAR TREK. The cast also includes Sam Rockwell and Keith Carradine. Robert Downey Jr and Eva Green were the first candidates for the lead roles but thankfully they didn't get them! Harrison Ford didn't want to wear a hat in the film but he had to since he plays a cowboy. Film budget was around $100 million! Olivia Wilde has a bare chested scene in the film in front of the huge mass of Indians.
THE STORY OF THE FILM
The story is set in 1873 in Arizona. A stranger (Daniel Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes
a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford). It's a town that lives in fear. But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive
traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents, townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors, all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival.
Now, this is a nice piece of news: breathtaking Holliday Grainger, who mesmerized us all with her beauty as Lucretia
in THE BORGIAS has just joined the new adaptation of GREAT EXPEC TATIONS To be directed by always sensual Mike Newell (PRINCE OF PERSIA, LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA), as I already mentioned before the film will feature Helena Bonham Carter as rich lady Miss Havisham, who helps a poor orphan Pip throughout his life, and Ralph Fiennes as escaped convict Magwitch. Grainger will play Miss Havisham's adopted daughter Estella who falls in love with the poor orphan (to be played by Jeremy Irvine).
The new adaptation of ROMEO AND JULIET which will feature young Hailee Steinfeld as Julia and Holly Hunter as her
protective nanny with young Ed Westwick as Tybalt, has just found its Romeo. According to "Variety" the lead male role will go to dashing young actor Douglas Booth(THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH). According to "Variety" our dear Brit James McAvoy will replace Michael Fassbender in Danny Boyle's TRANCE, an action drama about an art heist that goes terribly wrong. It seems our dear Luke Evans won't star in ONLY GOD FORGIVES after all :( The lead role has just been taken by Ryan Gosling who will play a career criminal who runs a drug smuggling operation out of a Bangkok boxing gym.
I'm a bit late on this one, since I didn't have space to post it sooner, but here's the first trailer for THE KILLER ELITE, an action flick
with an elite cast which follows Danny (Jason Statham), one of the world's most skilled special-ops agents. Lured out of self-imposed exile to execute a near-impossible feat of retribution and personal salvation, Danny reassembles his old team of operatives to help rescue his former mentor (Robert De Niro), and to penetrate the highly feared and respected military unit, SAS. Facing off against a covert group of ex-SAS soldiers lead by Spike (Clive Owen) Danny and his team must take down a rogue cell of solider assassins before their actions result in a global political meltdown. The film is out this September. LINK OF THE DAY If you're a fan of Richard Armitage, my dear Fabo has clips of him from CAPTAIN AMERICA over at her WHITE ROSE blog.
As you have probably heard since yesterday, the movie adaptation of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES has found its lead female star. And thank God it's not either Natalie
Portman nor overly present Anne Hathaway, but young cutie Emma Stone. It now remains to be seen whether she will accept the offer. The film will bring a crazy twist on Jane Austin's classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England who are now faced with a new challenge - an army of undead zombies.
The rest of today's post will be a bit different than usually since I have a bunch of great new pictures to show you, so here we go:
FIRST PICTURES FROM "THE HOBBIT"
Entertainment Weekly has released exclusive first pictures from Peter Jackson's THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. Pictures show Martin Freeman as Bilbo and Sir
Ian McKellen as Gandalf. The shooting of the two films will last for 254 days. As you know the magical cast includes Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lily ...
JULIA ORMOND IS SUPERMAN'S MOM
And it seems Zack Snyder has finally finished casting roles for MAN OF STEEL. After Russel Crowe was hired to play Superman's biological father Jor-El, the latest gossips say that almost forgotten Julia Ormond is in talks to play his biological mother Lara. As you know, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane will play Clark Kent's adoptive parents, while Amy Adams will play Lois Lane and Michael Shannon will be the villain. Henry Cavill is, off course, the Superman.
CHARACTER IMAGES FROM "BRAVE"
Yesterday, HOLLYWOOD SPY brought you amazing first poster for Pixar's new animated film BRAVE which comes to cinemas next year, and today you can check out equally amazing character
photos. As you know, the film will be set in ancient Scotland following a young princess Merida who wants to become world's greatest archer. Emma Thompson, Julie Walters and Kevin McKidd are in the voice cast.
NEW POSTER FOR "CAPTAIN AMERICA"
A new poster for one of the biggest super hero blockbusters coming out this summer, July 22nd, has also been released today. It features Chris Evans as CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, an ordinary guy who gets made into a powerful super
soldier in order to fight Nazis in the WW2. Beside wonderful Chris Evans, the cast also includes Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper, Richard Armitage and many others.
LINK OF THE DAY Go to Facebook and support the page BOYCOTT OF CHELSEA HANDLER UNTIL SHE APOLOGIZES TO THE SERBIAN PEOPLE. As you probably know, Amy Winehouse had a terrible concert last weekend in Serbia where she came to the stage drunk and drugged and Chelsea Handler used hate speech commenting in her show that Serbs didn't even deserve to go to concerts, didn't deserve to have Facebook and she even gave scandalous comments on Serbian history, calling Serbs a genocidal nation. I've always known she was ignorant, rude and unintelligent but this is just pure diabolical evil.
Some time ago HOLLYWOOD SPY has presented you first concept art from Pixar's new animated film BRAVE and now you can
check out the mesmerizing and stunningly beautiful poster! (click on it to see it bigger). Coming to cinemas next summer, this thrilling adventure will be set in medieval Scotland following the impetuous, tangle-haired princess Merida, who wants to become world's greatest archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father's kingdom and her mother's life. Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right!
Although the film has lost battle against Tarsem's SNOW WHITE, which premieres first and doesn't have horrid Kirsten Stewart in the lead role, SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMEN with Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth still has another ace in its sleeve: after casting Ian McShane as the lead dwarf the film now also has Eddie Izzard as the biggest dwarf, Bob Hoskins as the blind dwarf, Toby Jones as the shy dwarf and Ray Winstone as one of the twin dwarfs! According to "Deadline", Jennifer Lopez might take the female lead in PARKER, an action film in which Jason Statham plays a thief with strict moral codes who at the same time isn't afraid to kill if necessary. Lopez will get involved with him during a heist.
One of the films, besides Meryl Streep's IRON LADY, Tarsem's IMMORTALS and Michele Williams' MY WEEKEND WITH MARYLIN, which will try to win an Oscar next year, is certainly David Cronenberg's new film A DANGEROUS METHOD in which Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen play two of the most famous psychologists Dr. Carl Gustav Jung and newcomer Sigmund Freud, who both fall in love with a severely unbalanced patient (played dreadfully as always by that Keira Knightley girl). The film also stars amazing French star Vincent Cassell and you can check out the first trailer bellow (if you can stand Knightley, off course). LINK OF THE WEEK if you wanna read more about the two SNOW WHITE projects, go over to FLIX CHATTER and tell Flixy Dezzy sent you :)
Our latest poll is over and HOLLYWOOD SPY'S BEST SENIOR ACTRESS is Maggie Smith with 44% of your votes, followed by Judi Dench (who already won two previous polls) with 25% of votes and Betty White (10%).
Although most of the younger audience remembers her for her role in HARRY PLOPPER saga, living British legend Maggie Smith has been present in films for more than half a century. We loved her marvelous acting in classic dramas GOSFORD PARK, LADIES IN LAVANDER, TEA WITH MUSSOLINI, RICHARD III, A ROOM
WITH A VIEW, her comedic performances in NANNY MCPHEE, THE FIRST WIVES CLUB and SISTER ACT. Soon we will be watching her and her best friend dame Judi Dench in BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL! She is one of the actresses with the biggest number of Oscar nominations (six, and she won two times). She has recently recovered from breast cancer. Her son is Toby Stephens, one of Britain's most talented actors! Like her best friend Judi Dench she also has the title of dame.
I also wanted to pay a small tribute to Lynn Redgrave who was also in this poll. Most people (me included) haven't heard that she actually died last year after losing her battle with cancer :( We shall forever remember her amazing talent, charm and her witty performances: she was outstanding and endearing in GODS AND MONSTERS, hilarious in CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC, great in PETAR PAN, THE WHITE COUNTESS and KINSEY, and we shall also remember her great episodes in UGLY BETTY and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES! RIP Lynn Redgrave, amazing British thespian!
Now, let us leave our dear senior thespians and move to some steamy hotness as summer requires. Since the temperatures are getting high and scorching I thought I should spice up the season
with THE HOTTEST SUMMER 2011 ACTOR. Here are the candidates among the sexy actors who are very busy in cinemas this summer: Chris Hemsworth (THOR), Jason Momoa (CONAN, GAME OF THRONES), Ryan Reynolds (GREEN LANTERN, CHANGE UP), Chris Evans (CAPTAIN AMERICA), Justin Timberlake (BAD TEACHER, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS), Michael Fassbender (XMEN FIRST CLASS), Colin Farrell (HORRIBLE BOSSES, FRIGHT NIGHT), Nicholas Hoult (XMEN FIRST CLASS). Vote on before we move to the hottest summer ladies in two weeks time :)
SHORT HEADLINESSince Tim Burton decided not to direct MALEFICENT with Angelina Jolie, according to "MovieWeb" the new one interested to take the helm is Guillermo Del Toro who admitted that he has a collection of dozens of
Maleficent figures and is a huge fan of the Sleeping Beauty tale. Now, this is certainly interesting: Ian McShane, whom we loved in PILLARS OF THE EARTH has joined SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. He will portray Caesar the Dwarf leader next to Charlize Theron, Sam Claflin and Chris Hemsworth!
And more from Tarsem's IMMORTALS today :) We've already seen the amazing posters with the Gods appearing in the movie, and now I have the posters with the main characters Henry Cavill as Theseus, Stephen Dorff as his slave, Freida Pinto as Phaedra and evil King Hyperion played by Mickey Rourke.
Dreamworks has just released a hilarious and delightful new trailer for the super charming and positively adorable PUSS IN BOOTS film, which comes to cinemas this November. With the adorable voices from Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, the SHREK spin-off will go back in the past, way before Puss ever met Shrek, when our suave and furry feline hero went on a swashbuckling ride, teamed up with mastermind Humpty Dumpty and the street-savvy Kitty to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs. The film is directed by Chris Miller who helmed SHREK 3 and he also worked on MADAGASCAR and MONSTERS VS ALIENS. LINK OF THE DAY be sure to visit our dear Emily White's blog. Her fantasy saga ELEMENTAL is coming out soon!
The filming on Tarsem Singh's magical fairy tale adaptation THE BROTHER'S GRIMM: SNOW WHITE has just started today, and over at my dear Jaccsy's I've found this first teaser
poster or an add for the film. In the sea of Snow White projects, Tarsem's will hold on to the original story and will have the most amazing visual aspect as all of his previous movies. The lead role went to young Lily Collins who is very busy these days getting lead roles in upcoming blockbusters, her dear prince will be played by dashing Armie Hammer (SOCIAL NETWORK), while Julia Roberts should feel quite natural in the role of the Evil Queen with always hilarious Nathan Lane as queen's clumsy and timid servant.
You all know that HOLLYWOOD SPY's most anticipated film this year is Tarsem Singh's Greek epic IMMORTALS which
premieres this November. Today you can check out some breathtaking new images which have appeared around the Net recently. As you know the film follows the adventure of brave Theseus (Henry Cavill) who has to fight against the evil King
Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) on his bloodthirsty quest to release the Titans in their revengeful wrath. Secretly chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans), Theseus must stop Hyperion and his evil hordes with the help of his cunning slave (Stephen Dorff) and visionary
priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto). The film also stars John Hurt as Old Zeus, Kellan Lutz as Poseidon, Isabel Lucas as Athena, Corey Sevier as Apollo .. and you can also check out the mind blowing trailer in our previous post on the film.
Although it was a bit slow and boring at moments and the dynamics within the episodes wasn't always great, GAME OF THRONES did manage to seduce the audience with its epic
settings, amazing cast, stunning costumes, fantasy elements and of course with lots of beautiful fully naked human bodies (we've seen lots of boobies, a few female secret treasures, one noisy gay blow job and did you notice Alfie Allen'snaughty Willy in episode 6? :) And as soon as the epic first season finished HBO has broadcast a short teaser for the second season which should come up next year (yep, a long time to wait). Check out the teaser (which doesn't show much) :) How did you like the first season?
You all know how much I love me some Arthurian legends. Well, according to "MovieWeb", Warner Bros. has just won a huge battle for the screenplay for ARTHUR AND LANCELOT
by David Dobkin. They apparently gave $2 million for this story which will be a modern reimagining of the King Arthur and Sir Lancelot legendary tales. With a hefty budget of $90 million, the epic will be directed by the very same Dobkin who wrote the story and whom you remember by WEDDING CRASHERS, SHANGHAI KNIGHTS and the upcoming THE CHANGE UP film with Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds! It seems that after charming, lovely and decent BBC's show MERLIN and atrocious, horrible and shockingly bad CAMELOT on Starz, we shall watch some knights in cinemas too!
Since we've witnessed a lot of young stars appearing more or less from nowhere at one moment and getting numerous roles in biggest blockbusters at the next one, I thought I'd start a new
HOLLYWOOD SPY'S UPCOMING STARS feature. So here's the first part, with some of this year's breakthrough young stars.
We've been supporting talented and dashing young Brit Sam Claflin for some time now here at HOLLYWOOD SPY and we are happy that this year he has managed to charm the audience with his role in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES. The post in which I wrote about him previously has had almost 10,000 readings since the premiere of the film. We first noticed his charisma and warm presence in PILLARS OF THE EARTH epic series and then in sf mini seriesTHE LOST FUTURE beside Sean Bean.
He already has two lucrative lead roles in two future blockbusters: he will play the prince in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN beside Charlize Theron, and a young magician in fantasy epicTHE SEVENTH SON beside Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges. He's the next big thing, mind what I say :)
She's unusual, since unlike other young stars, she didn't draw attention to her with her looks (which are definitely breathtaking, deeply charismatic and sensual) but with her critically acclaimed role in THE WINTER BONE for which she got an Oscar nomination as the second youngest actress in the best female role category ever. And then she basically sealed the deal by scoring two huge roles: the role of powerful Mystique in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and then the lead role in the biggest of the upcoming YA fantasy filmsTHE HUNGER GAMES. That pretty much brought her millions of fans around the world. She is already quite a sex symbol.
To me he's already one of the biggest stars, and one of my favourite celebs for many years now, but it seems that Henry Cavill's time is finally coming. After spellbinding us all with his role of Duke
Charles Brandon in the four seasons of the cult TV showTHE TUDORS (in which he marvelously depicted the just, loyal and honorable Duke who later on gets haunted by his own conscience for doing deeds the king and the state demanded from him) he will finally shine in the lead roles of two of the biggest upcoming blockbusters: he will be brave Theseus in Greek epic IMMORTALS this winter after which he shall take the cape of the brave Superman in THE MAN OF STEEL. He also plays the lead in 2012 action thrillerTHE COLD LIGHT OF DAY beside Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver. Before THE TUDORS you saw him in STARDUST,
TRISTAN & ISOLDE, THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO and BLOOD CREEK. And yes, he is also British, which is how we like our thespians best :) Click if you want to read our long post about him from back when he won THE BEST BRITISH ACTOR poll at HOLLYWOOD SPY.
Stay tuned for the second part of the upcoming stars list! LINK OF THE DAY Don't forget to visit our dear David tomorrow at his SICK BY TREND, where he's reporting live from Gucci show in Milan! He's there, people, live at the show :)
