FREUD'S LAST SESSION
FIRST IMAGE WITH ANTHONY HOPKINS AND MATTHEW GOODE
Speaking of a thespian cast, check out Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode in the first image from FREUD'S LAST SESSION movie! Set on the eve of the Second World War, it depicts a meeting between Freud and Narnia writer C.S. Lewis, at the psychoanalyst’s London home, during which they debate the existence of God.
The film also explores Freud’s unique relationship with his daughter Anna (Liv Lisa Fries) and Lewis’ unconventional relationship with his best friend’s mother. The stellar cast also has Orla Brady, Jeremy Northam and Stephen Campbell Moore.
I am a fan of Anthony Hopkins :-) and the film sounds really interesting. Hope it will be on Netflix someday..
ReplyDeleteHe is currently shooting that gladiator series THOSE ABOUT TO DIE down in Rome playing the emperor of the Roman Empire. Cineccita Studios are working full speed again like in the good old times.
DeleteI'm curious about the Freud film, specially his relationship with Anna. Like the actors too. Hope you have a nice birthday, Gattocito!
ReplyDeleteThanks, twas nothing special as usual. Being a year older is not a reason to celebrate anything.
DeleteBoth of these are winners for me today. I think I would have loved to have sat in and listened to Lewis and Freud debate any topic. That would have been quite interesting, methinks.
ReplyDeleteYea, but probably not on the topic of God, at least not for me LOL Maybe something juicier :)
DeleteI don't know. You know I'm not religious, but I love a good debate on the subject. I get sucked into those threads on Facebook where believers and non believers go at each other for pages and pages. It's like a little soap opera watching them argue who is right and who's burning in eternal damnation haha!
DeleteThen you might enjoy this one too!
DeleteI wonder what Freud would have to say about today's politicians. Why, you wonder. O, don't ask.
ReplyDeleteHe'd have his hands full.
DeleteBoth of them.
