Jan Zizka who was
a powerful figure in the famous Hussite wars in the medieval times. With
the massive budget of about $20 million, the new historical movie was shot on the sets near Prague and around Czech republic. Superhunky Czech actor and judo champion
Petr Jakl has both written and directed the movie! He is not the only athlete in the production as legendary Czech decathlon world recorder
Roman Sebrle is also in the cast! I am personally a bit disappointed with the trailer as the film in it looks a bit cheap and Ben proves he is just not up to the task due to lack of talent and charisma, especially for this kind of role, not to mention he looks too much

My first thought when I read that an American would be playing the role (even before your review of the trailer) was that it's unfortunate they couldn't find local talent for it.
ReplyDeleteThey could have and they should have, they could have cast someone Czech in the lead role and all these international celebs in supporting ones, especially as Ben is a bad actor no matter how hard he tries. While Moseley does look Slavic, Foster has a very much Irish, American face for this role.
DeleteLooks brutal and bloody. I'm not sure if this is one that I'll watch, so I'll wait for your opinion on it before making that call.
ReplyDeleteI will watch it for Moseley and Goode!
DeleteI know. I have a hard time not jumping on this one because we do adore us some Moseley, but I just wasn't feeling this one for some reason. Do let me know if it is any good though once you've had a chance to see it.
DeleteIf we ever see it, I still have hard time finding that Margrete Queen of North Danish movie, everything European is hard to find. I've only now managed to get Sisi German series from a friend.
DeleteThat's a testosterone loaded film.
ReplyDeleteIndeed
DeleteLooks bloody and atmospheric!
ReplyDeleteSuch was the history sadly.
DeleteI'm with Angie. It looks like a lot of testosterone. But, the worst part, is that it's so dark. I like to watch things with bright lighting!
ReplyDeleteHistory was very dark, kinda like the present.
