Well, we do like seeing our dearest William Moseley turned into a hot action star! He leads video game movie adaptation HOME SWEET HOME: REBIRTH which is getting a limited cinema release this weekend April 11th.  When a city is overrun with a demonically-possessed crowd of violent people, a cop must uncover the source of evil to save his family! Michele Morrone also stars in this film next to William Moseley as Jake. To save the city, and his trapped family, Jake must ally himself with a mysterious Novice Monk and embark on a journey through the supernatural world of "The Hindrance" to shut the Gates of Hell. A chance encounter on Valentine's Day brings Hannah and Finn together as they race through New York City to return a lost engagement ring and save one couple's special day. Then there is also THE ROYAL WE in which lovely Mallory Jansen will play princess Bea who is forced into an arranged marriage with a prince (Charlie Carrick) from a small kingdom after her older sister elopes with a non-royal. Another of our fave hunks William Moseley, who is no stranger to prince roles, will wear a crown again in ROYAL-ISH in which Nichole Sakura will play Lacey, an amusement park princess who befriends 8-year-old Rose, a real-life princess, and is recruited by her handsome father to travel to their kingdom and be the new governess.

We have first images from two new World War Two set movies, starting with DESPERATE JOURNEY which boasts an international cast that includes Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Clara Rugaard, Fernando Guallar, Hugo Spear, Ed Stoppard, Steven Berkoff, Nathaniel Parker and Til Schweiger. Directed by Annabel Jankel, it is based on the true story of Freddie Knoller (Tønnesen), a young man forced to flee Vienna as Nazi hysteria takes hold. The story is set in a burlesque world of 1940s Paris. Knoller’s captivating story has been widely recognized around the world and he was honored by the late Queen Elizabeth. 

MURDER COMPANY

Murder Company arrives this July

in the midst of the D-Day invasion. The story follows a group of U.S. soldiers who are given orders to smuggle a member of the French resistance behind enemy lines in order to assassinate a high-value Nazi target. June, 1944. With the US invasion of Europe hanging in the balance, Allied commanders issued a top-secret directive that would send six men behind enemy lines to assassinate a high-value Nazi target. A mixed unit of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne, comprised of men from Easy, Able and Dog Companies, was joined by a lone member of the French Resistance. Their mission has never been officially acknowledged, and there is no record the unit ever existed. But those who were there gave it a name of its own: Murder Company. The movie is based on actual events!

Football star, Graham Savoy, has always been too busy for love, but when he comes home to Notting Hill for Christmas, he changes his mind after meeting the one person who has no idea who he is. I know Halloween is still far away, but if you happen to be in the mood for something spooky, today's spotlight is just your thing: today I am bringing you a trailer for RAVEN'S HOLLOW period set horror movie which will have its world premiere at Fright Fest in UK August 27th before streaming on AMC's horror oriented streamer Shudder from September 22nd. Our dearest William Moseley leads the movie inspired by an incident in the life of American mystery writer Edgar Allan Poe when he was a West Point military cadet in 1830. Callum Woodhouse from The Durrells and All Creatures Great and Small also stars.

After those first photos that I showed you last week from THE SERPENT QUEEN series, Starz has just sent us the first epic trailer for the historical series about infamous Catherine de Medici revealing that the series will launch September 11th, much sooner than we expected. Samantha Morton leads the cast portraying the French queen and descendant of the legendary Italian noble family who believed it's safer to be feared than loved especially as life wasn't really kind to her forcing her to become cunning, sly and above all ruthless.

MEDIEVAL will follow their 14th century national hero Jan Zizka of Trocnov (Ben Foster), a revered military tactician who defeated armies of the Teutonic Order and the Holy Roman Empire. He is known for his innovative strategies and for quickly training peasants to face skilled and armoured  opponents who usually outnumbered his own troops. The historical adventure film will also have another storyline which will revolve around his relationship with king's lover, a rich heiress Catherine (Sophie Lowe), whom he is sent to save but unexpectedly falls in love with her, while another storyline will describe his fight against a rival king.

Our favourite William Moseley plays Jan's brother Jaroslav, legendary Michael Caine is Lord Boresh the right hand of Czech King Wenceslaus and German superstar Til Schweiger is Rosenberg, the richest lord in the kingdom. British thespian Matthew Goode will portray King Sigismund of  Hungary and Croatia, the brother of Czech King Wenceslaus, and if my eyes are not playing with me he will have a blondish hair in the movie! I am personally a bit disappointed with the trailer as the film in it looks a bit cheap and Ben proves he is just not up to the task due to lack of talent and charisma, especially for this kind of role, not to mention he looks too much

Channel 5 is preparing a new four part noir thriller series DEADLINE and they have set James D'Arcy and Charlie Murphy as leads. I don't have much to offer you today, but what I do have is quite dynamic and plus it has our dearest Russian star Olga Kurylenko in it! The first trailer and posters for her action packed movie THE COURIER are in. The film which sees her playing a courier in London who discovers that one of the packages she's transporting is a bomb, has a rather strong cast with William Moseley, Gary Oldman and Dermot Mulroney also starring in it with her. The film is set to be released November 22nd in USA (both the net and cinemas) and then in Russia and United Kingdom in December.

We are having ourselves a lovely Australian Monday, spylings, and I am sure you wont complain as movies coming from Down Under are always the best! Right? First up, Australian youngster Brenton Thwaites (who got famous after starring in Gods of Egypt, Pirates of the Caribbean and Titans) will lead new Oz romantic movie I MET A GIRL together with Lily Sullivan. He will play an impulsive musician struggling with schizophrenia who falls for a mysterious woman (Sullivan) who may be all in his head. When she suddenly vanishes, he takes off on a cross country journey across Australia to find her, forcing his long suffering brother (Joel Jackson) to try to rescue him. Zahra Newman and Peter Rowsthorn also star.

Starring gorgeous Thomas Cocquerel in the lead role, IN LIKE FLYNN is set in 1930, before Errol Flynn became a legendary matinee idol of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Whilst serving as a guide for a Hollywood producer in the jungles of Papua New Guinea, young Flynn discovers a trail that will lead to a fortune in gold. Back in Depression era Sydney, he recruits a motley group of fellow opportunists with whom he sets sail in a yacht stolen from Chinese opium smugglers. What follows is a mythical and satirical coming-of-age story about four men on a journey to find hope, adventure and fortune at a time when the world was spiralling into despair.
