As 'Deadline' reports he will join John Malkovich and Maggie Grace in SUPERCON about a motley group of comic book artists and former TV stars earning a living working fan conventions who set out to rob a crooked promoter and an overbearing former TV icon.

 It is interesting that he will also star with Maggie Grace in Rob Cohen's CATEGORY 5! As 'E!' writes, it follows a team of hackers embarking on a high stakes robbery from a coastal U.S. mint facility, hoping to make off with $600 million. The action comes in full when a CATEGORY 5 hurricane hits the coastal town and forces the inhabitants to flee or seek shelter. In the midst of the natural disaster a meteorologist (Toby Kebbell), his brother (Ryan Kwanten), and a treasury agent (Maggie Grace) must team up to stop the heist from becoming a reality.

It tells the untold true story of the African American female mathematicians at NASA who provided the calculations that helped fuel some of America’s greatest achievements in space. The story is told through the personal accounts of the four women known as the “Colored Computers,” and their accomplishment is set against the background of the Jim Crow South and the civil rights movement.

 'THE SON' EPIC MINI SERIES

Here's another new historical drama for you! 'Deadline' reports that AMC has done casting for their ten episode epic mini series THE SON with Sam Neill leading the ensemble! Based on the Philipp Meyer book the multi gene- rational epic tale depicts the rise and fall of one Texas family.

THE FIRST SON OF TEXAS
Sam Neill will be Eli, the charismatic patriarch of the McCullough family who was kidnapped as a child and raised among the Comanche tribe and applies the brutal Comanche world view to his business dealings. He was born on the day Texas became an independent Republic, earning the nickname “First Son of Texas” and is a relic of the Wild West, uneasy with the inexorable taming of Texas and the uncertain future of his legacy. Henry Garrett  will be his eldest son  who grew up in Eli’s shadow and struggles to make his impossible father proud while still forging his own identity. Zahn McClarnon is Toshaway, a Comanche war chief who captures young Eli and becomes his father figure. Paola Nunez will play the last member of the wealthy Spanish aristocracy in South Texas, a college educated woman ahead of her time.

'EDGE: THE LONER' TV WESTERN WITH RYAN KWANTEN AND MAX MARTINI IN THE CAST

Not much to report today, it's been a very slow week! Netflix has announced a number of pilots which could turn into series if audience likes them. Among them is western EDGE: THE LONER set in 1868, with Max Martini playing a Union officer turned cowboy, who prowls the post Civil War American west doling out his own peculiar brand of justice. Australian superstar Ryan Kwanten and Yvonne Strahovski round up the cast.

CHRISTINA RICCI IS 'Z'

Meanwhile, Christina Ricci will lead Z playing Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, the original Jazz Age 1920s icon. It follows her passionate and turbulent love affair with and marriage to writer F Scott Fitzgerald (Gavin Stenhouse) and their lives as a famous couple. The series travels through the wild parties, the wicked jazz and the dissolute artists of the era, as well as the alcoholism, adultery and mental illness that characterised the couple's later years.

This would also mean that Charlize Theron might not return as evil queen Ravenna either. Frank Darabont has left the director's chair last week due to creative differences with the studio, but it seems that Universal already has another helmer in mind. April 2016 is the release date! Emily is also wanted for CAPTAIN MARVEL!

Gorgeous first poster has been released for Alan Rickman's directorial debut A LITTLE CHAOS which opens in cinemas this April! Kate Winslet plays a female landscape gardener who is awarded the esteemed assignment to construct the grand gardens at Versailles, a gilt-edged position which thrusts her to the very centre of the court of King Louis XIV. Matthias Schoenaerts is the rival gardener, while Rickman also stars as the king himself!
