NETFLIX REVEALS TRAILER AND STREAMING DATE FOR THE SECOND SEASON OF THE EMPRESS HISTORICAL SERIES ON THE AUSTRIAN IMPERIAL COUPLE

     THE EMPRESS
HISTORICAL SERIES SEASON 2 TRAILER
The Empress is back this November
Well, it seems that beside the second season of Italian costume drama Lidia Poet and the fourth season of much better and more glamurous German series which deals with the same topic Sisi, the end of the year will also bring us the second season of THE EMPRESS German historical (albeit it with more inaccuracies than truths and facts) series which hits Netflix November 22nd with six new episodes and we have the first trailer as well. Two years after the first season, which ended with Sisi revealing to the mob in front of the court that she is expecting an heir, the series continues the story of Austrian empress Sisi and her husband emperor Franz.

THE STORY OF THE SECOND SEASON
The first crisis is barely over and the young couple wants to enjoy their fresh marital bliss when dark clouds gather over Schönbrunn Palace: Franz (Philip Froissant) unexpectedly faces a powerful adversary in Europe. And Elisabeth (Devrim Lingnau) comes under great pressure, because an heir to the throne is to secure the future of the empire as quickly as possible. When fate strikes with all its power, the couple’s love threatens to finally break apart. And Elisabeth must fight not only for her family, but also for the integrity of her soul…

WHO IS IN THE SECOND SEASON?

  1. I liked the Romy Schneider film from back in the day though I've been told it's not particularly true to history.

    1. They were not at all, Romy played a cutsie happy little lovely lass, while Sisi was a drug using, self-obsessed, vain freak who was such a terrible mother that her son was obsessed with the ideas of a suicide which he in the end committed. They were a very dark, grim and sick family of lunatics, not a carefree Disney family like in those old films.

    1. Well, at least it is not a series about maniacs and criminal psychos... oh ,wait, the Habzburghs were the original psychos LOL

  3. I don't know if I'll watch it. I don't think I want to. I'm sick of shows about psychopaths. Yesterday I watched half an episode about the sick Menendez brothers who killed their parents because Bardem plays there, but I'm sick of shows like that.

    1. Yes I would not even go close to the Menendez brothers show, Netflix is obsessed with those psychos and maniacs and it is very disturbing because people grow to actually admire them instead of being disgusted, they glamourize criminals, it is very dangerous.

  4. I don't have Netflix anymore because they never had anything that I wanted to watch.

  5. I don't know how Netflix can keep their prices so high when they never have anything good and it seems people are really starting to dislike them over all others.

    1. They will sooner or later fall, but then again people are getting more and more stupid and actually like the crap they get served.

    2. The mighty usually do fall. They should have kept it humble and listened to what their customers wanted. Then again, you are right. People are getting dumber by the day so maybe Netflix isn't so stupid after all. They know they'll have this next generation of idiots to line their pockets.

    3. I mean just look at that series now about those brother criminals which is the most popular in your country, or that hoe Anna Delvey dancing in a family show? Like what is up with people?

    4. I actually wanted to watch that one from a true crime or psychological what made them tick that way understanding, but apparently they sensationalized the entire story. Made the brothers out to be lovers and all kinds of weird stuff that wasn't true. I ended up deleting it off my queue.

    5. Netflix is obsessed with celebration of crime. No wonder their owner supports Kamala LOL
