NEW ROBIN HOOD
EPIC TV SERIES ORDERED AT MGM PLUS
It will start shooting its ten episodes next February in Serbia: MGM + has ordered a new ROBIN HOOD series from John Glenn and director Jonathan English. It will bring a modern energy to the classic tale of the roguish outlaw hero who stole from the rich and gave to the poor, and the epic love story between him and a courageous and daring Marian. Following the Norman invasion of England, Rob – a Saxon forester’s son – and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord fall in love and work together to fight for justice and freedom. As Rob rises as the leader of a band of rebel outlaws, Marian infiltrates the power at court, and both work together to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the land. It is aimed to air at the end of 2025.
The words 'Modern energy' worries me
ReplyDeleteThat and the fact that it is on MGM Plus, you have seen how atrocious their Winter King was.
DeleteI know the stories were folk legends but Robin was always a lord from what I remember.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Lord of Locksley.
DeleteWe have enough modern energy going on here these days. Except they aren't taking from the rich and giving to the poor anymore, but taxing us working folk to death to pass our monies to the poor and rich alike, leaving us middle class workers struggling to make ends meet. It's a shame.
ReplyDeleteWe are slowly going feudal again.
