BBC has sent us the first image of Charles Dance as famous Michelangelo in their new docuseries RENAISSANCE: THE BLOOD AND THE BEAUTY. The three part series, which will also air on PBS, explores an era of violence and power politics that produced some of the Western world’s
greatest works of art. The new documentary series aims to reveal an unfamiliar side to the Renaissance, with Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael also represented along with their patrons in 16th-century Italy.
