The saga will be turned into a TV series

Since romantasy is so popular among the female audiences, Starz has opted THE WOLF KING romantic fantasy saga by Lauren Palphreyman for a TV series adaptation, and that also includes the sequels The Night Prince, which was published in 2025, and The Wolf Queen, set for release this November. According to Variety, the story follows a princess named Aurora who is kidnapped by a werewolf and finds herself ensnared in a lethal love triangle and  is thrust into a war between humankind and her feral captors, forcing her to decide whether she’s a prize to be claimed or the master of her own destiny. Tanya Saracho has been set as the show runner and will also executive produce the series with Palphreyman.

After the stunning teaser trailer and posters that Staz has released already for their SPARTACUS spin off series HOUSE OF ASHUR the channel has now sent us magnificent new posters and a brand new trailer for the new epic saga will hit the small screens December 5th with a two episode premiere, so we have something to hope for towards the end of the year. The series will have ten episodes and will also stream on popular streamer Stan down for the viewers who will want to watch it in

which asks: What if Ashur (Nick Tarabay) hadn't died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of Spartacus: Vengeance? And what if he had been gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatusin return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and putting an end to the slave rebellion? Beside Lucy Lawless who
 will return later this Autumn as Lucretia in flashbacks, the cast will have Graham McTavish, who takes a leading role alongside Tarabay as Korris, Ashur's Doctore, the lead trainer of the gladiators in the Ludus, an ex-gladiator who won his freedom in the arena. There are also Tenika Davis (as Achillia, a gladiatrix who's determined to surpass her male counterparts and win her freedom), Jamaica Vaughan (as Hilara, an elevated house slave who's in love with Ashur), Ivana Baquero (as Messia, a house slave in love with Hilara), Jordi Webber, (as Tarchon, a brash gladiator), Claudia Black (as Cossutia, a politician plotting Ashur's downfall), India Shaw-Smith (as Viridia, Cossutia’s daughter) and Leigh Gill (as Satyrus, the leader of the Brothers Ferox, which are the gladiators from a rival Ludus). After announcing Nick Tarabay as the lead, Starz epic series SPARTACUS: THE HOUSE OF ASHUR has added eight more actors to the cast. The ten episode series coming from Steven DeKnight is now shooting in New Zealand.

Tenika Davis plays Achillia, a female gladiator driven to surpass her male counterparts. Jamaica Vaughan plays Hilara, a young, elevated house slave, deeply in love with Ashur. Ivana Baquero plays Messia, a house slave in love with Hilara. Jordi Webber plays Tarchon, a brash and headstrong gladiator. Philippine Velge is princess Margot Catherine’s eldest daughter, who is her polar opposite. Incredibly charming, liked by all and seeks the truth. Rosalie Craig is Jeanne d’Albret the self-righteous and disapproving wife of Antonie de Bourbon. Isobel Jesper Jones is Edith, a protestant preacher to a group of loyal followers.  Ashley Thomas is Alessandro de Medici a man possessed with great charisma and beauty and is the object of desire. Alexandre Willaume is Montmorency the wise and humorless Constable General of France. He is a loyal and serious servant of the king.
