1946. Amerigo (Christian Cervone) is seven years old and has never left Naples and his mother Antonietta (Serena Rossi). His world, made up of streets and poverty, however, is about to change. On board one of the "trains of happiness" he will spend the winter in the north, where a young woman, Derna (Barbara Ronchi), will welcome him and take care of him. Next to her Amerigo acquires an awareness that leads him to a painful choice that will change her life forever. It will take him many years to discover the truth: those who love you don't hold you back, but they let you go. This sounds really intriguing...great it's on Netflix in a couple of days...
ReplyDeleteSomething to watch this week.
DeleteFor once, something to look forward to on Netflix.
ReplyDeleteNot much there these days, although that Lindsay Lohan Christmas flick did get over 30 million views so far.
DeleteI watched that one last night. Wasn't my favorite, but was still watchable.
DeleteWill watch it as I did start my Sunday evening festive films month. It seems none of them is good this year.
DeleteI agree. Idk if I'm just burnt out on them or they just suck this year, but none have been noteworthy that I've seen thus far.
DeleteI only liked Twas A Date Before Christmas with my husband Robert Buckley and tonight I watched Christmas in Plumhill Manor with Menounos and Kyle Pryor, was cheesy, but very cute because they are just god damn gorgeous.
DeleteI have both of those on my list. Haven't watched yet, but glad to hear they were good!
DeleteTwas a Date was unusually fun and original for a Hallmark film which always use the identical template. Plus it has Robert who just shines in whichever scene they put him in.
