THE NEW SERIES
will be a dark and gritty retelling of the
exploration of the American West in the 19th century. This is America…
1857. Up is down, pain is everywhere, innocence and tranquility are
losing the battle to hatred and fear. Peace is the shrinking
minority,
and very few possess grace — even fewer know compassion. There is no
safe haven in these brutal lands, and only one goal matters: survival. The
violent collisions of cultures, religions and communities as men and
women fight and die for control of this new world – for a land they
truly believe
is their destiny. The ensemble tells a story of the sacrifice all must
pay when they choose to enter a lawless and untamed wilderness. Peter Berg, who is also an executive producer of the new series, also acts as the director of all six episodes over at Netflix. He promises accuracy and authenticity in depicting the historical period in the series. You can check out the trailer below and tell us what you think.

That would have been a hard time to live in for sure.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't wish it for anyone...
DeleteThey say accuracy and authenticity? That would be a first for Netflix LOL. It doesn't look bad. I think if I ever see Jason long enough for a 6 episode watch, we'll sit down for this one.
ReplyDeleteI read an interview with the producer, it seems they had a couple of experts on set who closely watched everything so that the natives would be accurately depicted.
DeleteColor me impressed. Now hopefully others will take notice and stop with filling historical projects with the woke bs.
DeleteFingers crossed. I am surprised they did not put a black actor to play one of the natives.
DeleteAmen to what Mary said.
DeleteAs I said before, Netflix has plenty of films and series that I don't want to watch at all..we are still in the middle of Downton Abbey...Maggie Smith was really great.
ReplyDeleteMost of their shows promote violence or crime.
