Peter Berg, who is also an executive producer of the new series, also acts as the director of all six episodes over at Netflix. Last December we got the news that Taylor Kitsch will lead period set series AMERICAN PRIMEVAL at Netflix, and now the six part series has also got Jai Courtney, Betty Gilpin, Dane DeHaan and Shea Whigham

Jai Courtney has joined the cast

along with Joe Tippett, Kyle Bradley Davis, Nick Hargrove, Derek Hinkey, Saura Lightfoot Leon, Preston Mota and Shawnee Pourier. This raw, adventurous exploration of the birth of the American West depicts violent collisions of cultures, religions and communities as men and women fight and die for control of this new world – for a land they truly believe is their destiny. It tells a story of the sacrifice all must pay when they choose to enter a lawless and untamed wilderness. With Kitsch, as Isaac, a traumatized man struggling to overcome his demons and find a reason to live in this brutal and punishing world, Jai Courtney will play Virgil Cutter, a trapper and bounty hunter who sees opportunity in the naiveté of others.

He is back on the small screens, people, rejoice! As Deadline reports, American streamer Netflix has cast our dear Taylor Kitsch as the lead star of their brand new historical mini TV series AMERICAN PRIMEVAL which will be an exploration of the birth of the American West. The story of the new series will follow the “violent” collisions of cultures, religions and communities as men and women fight and die for control of this new world – for a land they truly believe is their destiny. In the six episode limited series, Taylor Kitsch will portray the character of Isaac, a traumatized man struggling to overcome his demons and find a reason to live in this brutal and punishing world. His fellow actor Peter Berg, who is also an executive producer of the new series, will also act as the director of all six episodes over at Netflix.

The series arrives March 3rd

It will not stream until March next year, but Prime Video has released first pictures and a teaser for DAISY JONES AND THE SIX mini TV series  an adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid popular novel of the same name, a history of a fictional band from the ’70s with a Fleetwood Mac–like sound! Beside detailing the rise it will also detail the precipitous fall of a renowned rock band.

Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers — Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin) — the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.
