I announced last winter that CW has ordered an eight part mini series SHERLOCK & DAUGHTER and the word around the town is that it will premiere this January. It will also air on Discovery +
in UK as their first ever drama series. It has also been sold to Scandinavia and to SBS in Australia.

THE STORY
David Thewlis stars as Sherlock Holmes who is put out of his comfort zone, mysteriously
unable to investigate a sinister case without risking the lives of his
closest friends. Enter: young American Amelia (Blu Hunt). After her
mother’s mysterious murder, she learns her missing father may be the
legendary detective. Despite wildly different backgrounds and attitudes,
the pair must work together to solve a global
conspiracy, crack her
mother’s murder, and find out for sure if she really is Sherlock’s
daughter. Dougray Scott stars as Holmes’ nemesis, Moriarty. It
will be a light crime series not overly dark so that it can air in prime
time around the world.

I have CW, but is it a period piece?

DeleteAs much as I enjoy detective series, I am not a fan of Sherlock Holmes..I only know David Thewlis as a werewolf in Harry Potter.

DeleteEh to yet another Sherlock project. We could take 50 years off from the character and still get bored with hearing about him.
