New series will air on CW over in USA

  THE STORY

David Thewlis stars as Sherlock Holmes who is put out of his comfort zone, mysteriously unable to investigate a sinister case without risking the lives of his closest friends. Enter: young American Amelia (Blu Hunt). After her mother’s mysterious murder, she learns her missing father may be the legendary detective. Despite wildly different backgrounds and attitudes, the pair must work together to solve a global conspiracy, crack her mother’s murder, and find out for sure if she really is Sherlock’s daughter. Dougray Scott stars as Holmes’ nemesis, Moriarty. It will be a light crime series not overly dark so that it can air in prime time around the world.

NEW TV SERIES HAS CAST ANNOUNCED

We are getting yet another TV series based on Arthur Connan Doyle's famous detective hero Sherlock Holmes. Harry King Television will start production on TRUE SHERLOCK next January with Oli Higginson already cast as Sherlock and Will Kemp as Moriarty. Based on Nicholas Sercombe’s book series The Unexpurgated Adventures of Sherlock Holmes this new series will depict the origins of Holmes, Watson, Mrs Hudson, and Professor Moriarty. Sercombe will also be the showrunner!

As Variety reports, Amazon's Prime Video has ordered an eight episode series on YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES with Hero Fiennes Tiffin in the title

Hero Fiennes Tiffin will take the lead

role. Guy Ritchie is set to adapt and direct the series based on Andy Lane's popular long series of novels. This action-packed origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective will be an explosive re-imagining of this iconic character. Here to launch your new week is the first and rather cheap and unimaginative teaser for eight episode period set series THE IRREGULARS which will stream on Netflix from March 26th as a creepy (the original poster is actually so bizarre and sick that I decided not to promote it here at the spy's so I'm giving you the second one which isn't much better but at least it is not scandalous and evil) new version of Sherlock Holmes whom we don't see in the teaser, but we do have first photos showing the rest of the cast, namely a gang of Victorian street teens who are manipulated into solving a series of crimes for the sinister Doctor Watson

which hits Russian streamer Start.ru from October 22nd!  The eight episode series will see Maksim Matveyev playing famous detective Sherlock Holmes who is chasing a killer over in 1880's Saint Petersburgh. The high end series is directed by Nurbek Egen. 

 

SHERLOCK: THE RUSSIAN CHRONICLES sees Sherlock Holmes travelling to Russia alone, without his close friend Watson, in order to catch Jack the Ripper, whom Sherlock has been chasing from the U.K. Watson can’t travel with Holmes, since the good doctor was wounded by Jack the Ripper a few days prior to his escape. As you've probably heard the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle is suing the production because they've changed the essence of Holmes turning him into a kind man instead of a brash and arrogant detective that he always was.

With Henry Lloyd Hughes as Sherlock Holmes and Witcher's Royce Pierreson as Dr John Watson,it will have  Clarke Peters, Thaddea Graham, Darci Shaw, Jojo Macari, McKell David and Harrison Osterfield also in the cast of the series which started shooting in September and was supposed to work till May but had its production stopped with only two more weeks left to shoot.
