BBC has released trailer and February 2nd air date for their upcoming new mini series MISS AUSTEN which will also air on PBS in USA but from May 4th, marking 250 years since Austen's birth. The four part drama stars Keeley Hawes as Cassandra Austen, with Synnøve Karlsen, Patsy Ferran, Phyllis Logan, Max Irons, Alfred Enoch, Calam Lynch, Mirren Mack, Kevin McNally also in the cast. The latest to join Guy Ritchie's new TV series YOUNG SHERLOCK is Max Irons who will play Mycroft Holmes, an older brother to Hero Fiennes Tiffin's young Sherlock who at age 19, is disgraced, raw, unfiltered, and unformed, when he finds himself caught up in a murder mystery at Oxford University which threatens his freedom. Diving into his first-ever case with a wild lack of discipline, Sherlock manages to unravel a globe-trotting conspiracy that will change his life forever. Dónal Finn also joins the cast as James Moriarty, with previously announced Joseph Fiennes (Silas Holmes), Natascha McElhone (Cordelia Holmes), Zine Tseng (Princess Gulun Shou’an) and Colin Firth (Sir Bucephalus Hodge). The show is being done for Prime Video streamer.
A year ago I told you that PBS Masterpiece is preparing mini series MISS AUSTEN and now we have the first image with Keeley Hawes as Jane Austen's sister Cassandra who burned Jane’s letters after her death.
