LOVE AGAIN TRAILER
IS WONDERFULLY STAR STUDDED
A trailer for Celine Dion's new romantic movie coming out May 12th is here and it is rather star studded: beside Sam Heughan and Priyanka Chopra in the leads,
there are also Celia Imrie and our baes Russell Tovey and Nick Jonas! Featuring new music from Dion, it follows Mira Ray who, dealing with the loss of her fiancé, sends a series of romantic texts to his old cell phone number… not realizing the number was reassigned to Rob Burns’ new work phone. A journalist, Rob is captivated by the honesty in the beautifully confessional texts. When he’s assigned to write a profile of megastar Celine Dion, he enlists her help in figuring out how to meet Mira in person…and win her heart.
The movie is out this May! |
BELGRAVIA SECOND SEASON
ADS LADY SOPHIE WINKLEMAN
Although it was cancelled at ITV due to poor ratings, and let us be honest a godawful story, Julian Fellowes' BELGRAVIA costume drama is getting a second
season three years after over at American MGM Plus formerly known as Epix. The first to be added to the cast is a real life royalty Sophie Winkleman, also known as Lady Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince Michael of Kent. As Daily Mail reports, she is set to play the part of aristocrat Lady Rochester, which is one of the pivotal roles in the story! The new series will be set 25 years on from where the last one left off and will tell an entirely new story. She and Fellowes, who is also preparing a second season of Gilded Age at HBO, have worked before on his Titanic mini series.

PUNCH MOVIE TRAILER
LOVE IS WORTH THE FIGHT
We are celebrating the international day of love St. Valentines today with love movies, and here is another heartwarming romantic story: LGBT love drama PUNCH
has been traveling around the world visiting movie festivals since last summer and is continuing to do so coming from New Zealand director Welby Ings who also wrote the script for the movie starring Tim Roth and crazy gorgeous Jordan Oosterhof.
Welby Ings directed the movie |
THE STORY FOLLOWS
Jim
(Jordan Oosterhof) a seventeen-year-old boxer in a small town. He's a
golden boy, preparing for a fight that will elevate him to an early
professional status. All bets are on his climb to success. But his
father Stan (Tim Roth) is a
demanding coach and a notorious alcoholic.
As Jim begins to rethink why he is fighting, his life tangles with Whetu
(Conan Hayes), a razor-tongued, gay Maori boy who spends his days in an
old shack with his dog Moimoi where he cobbles together a fragile
glamour and dreams of leaving town to become a musician. Away from the
rainbow flags and Pride parades, Jim and Whetu must navigate isolation,
hypocrisy, the brutality of small-town boxing, and an anonymous queer
bashing that no one will talk about. As Jim stumbles towards discovering
what it really is to be a gay man, he is forced to understand that
strength has little to do with heroism.

Not exactly something I would watch, but I like Tim Roth...
ReplyDeleteI'd defo watch it, even though I cannot stand Tim Roth LOL
DeleteI remember Sophie from Narnia and Titanic where she played actress Dorothy Gibson . Around that time I also learned she had married Lord Frederick, but I don't recall who Lady Susan was in Sanditon. So is it definitive? There will be a second eason of The Gilded Age?
ReplyDeleteNot Sanditon, but Belgravia, deary. The one pressumed dead as Dodo and then resuscitated by MGM Plus for reasons unknown. Gilded already shot the second season, remember that I told you they killed some horses and might get punished for it, I even announced new cast members at some point, methinks. I am hoping for Gilded and Julia this summer or at least Autumn.
DeleteI know Sophie Winkleman will be in Belgravia 2. I read you Dearie. What I meant is that I checked (Wikipedia and IMDB) to see where I had seen her before. She is listed as having played Lady Susan Worcester in Sanditon (one of Charlotte’s friends) but I couldn’t remember her.
DeletePrecisely because of the incident with the horses, I thought they were stalling the new season until the end of PETA investigation, but now they are talking September as TGA2 release date.
Is it possible that she will be Lady Susan in the last season? She does have a very recognisable face and I know I've seen her somewhere, so it might be Sanditon too.
DeleteI did publish Gilded second season first photos, so it is defo coming.
She appears in the trailer for the upcoming season, and I saw pictures in the first season. She seemed to have been Charlotte's friend and advisor in the first season. Can't remember her. Once you've watched The English, let me know your opinion either in my blog or by messenger
DeleteI will have a spotlight on Sandi this Sundee LOL since I got my paws on new photos and the trailer.
DeleteI watched English first ep last night and it was amazing, wonderfully stylized and each scene done with so much care, hope it will be as good in next episodes, Ciaran Hinds was out of this world amazing as the villain, I very much enjoyed his death LOL
I liked Julian Fellowes as Kilwillie in Monarch of the Glen going back a few years. I haven't seen Belgravia so shall reserve judgement. Some of his ventures into writing have been decent though I've never had the least desire to watch Downton Abbey even with the lure of Dame Maggie Smith.
ReplyDeleteI know this isn't discussing Sanditon. Again, I didn't watch that. I did read the unfinished novel back in the 1990s though I can't remember it awfully well. Some of the publicity bumf didn't sound like the people behind the TV show were being particularly faithful to Jane Austen. I have read sequels to classic (or at least from some time ago) novels written by more modern writers. The late Jill Paton-Walsh wrote two (I think) novels about Lord Perter Wimsey after he has married Harriet (set during World War II) which worked for me. I also liked Death Comes to Pemberton by the late P D James. I felt that Mrs Paton-Walsh and P D James respected the source material.
I found both his Downton and Belgravia ghastly boring and cast, but Gilded Age was watchable thanks to tons of glitz and glamour and the cast was nice minus Baranski and Meryl Streep's nepobaby daughter. Sanditon is also bad, but it had lovely gents in the cast, You can catch it on PBS Masterpiece, which I'm surprised you don't have given that you like period set drama.
DeleteI liked Christine Baranski in The Good Fight.
DeleteDeath Comes to Pemberley is a thriller with a historical background featuring some of the characters from Pride and Prejudice. I should have said that in my previous post.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen that one yet, not a fan of the lead actress, but I do like the rest of the cast so I might.
DeleteOh yes, 'Pemberley' not 'Pemberton'. I'm in the UK - isn't PBS an American channel? I did watch Death Comes to Pemberley on the iplayer. Since my TV went bump I watch TV programmes on the computer by using catch-up facilities such as iplayer. I'd already read the novel so knew how it played out.
ReplyDeleteYou can probably catch it on ITV's streaming channel if you missed it when it aired on ITV itself.
DeleteI am so excited to see Celine on the screen. They don't make them like her anymore. Such a classy lady and an amazing voice. I don't know how many hours I spent listening to her in the 90's.
ReplyDeleteShe is so funny in the trailer, love her facial expressions. Love her and Shania. Shania is currently a judge in Starstruck show on ITV where ordinary people imitate famous singers, it is a very nice jury line up with her and Adam Lambert.
DeleteYes, her and Shania seem very humble and kind given the amount of success they've had in their careers. People today need to follow their example. Instead, they get a fart's worth of fame and think the world should bow down to them. I haven't seen Shania's new show, but it does sound interesting. However, that outfit she wore on the red carpet recently did have me screaming, "girl! what is you thinking with that?!
DeleteShe looks very weird these days, but I still like her although I don't think she has hits on her new album. Her time has passed, sadly.
DeleteRemember how Adele often cancells her concerts, while Celine Dion didn't speak with anyone ahead of concerts so that she would save her voice for the audience, today's brats don't have the capacity to learn something from her respect towards the audience.
I think she's going through something, personally. Wasn't she posing nude for something recently? I'm all about self love, but it does feel like the way she's putting herself out there with the look at me outfits and nude photos is out of character for her. Girl has nothing to prove anymore. She's an icon. The theatrics are unnecessary.
DeleteHaven't seen that, but lots of them have went gaga, I've just seen Evangeline Lilly at the Antman premiere and that girl has went so ugly I couldn't believe my bloody eyes! From such a gorgeous lady she became a butch example of fugliness.
DeleteI had to go google that and Oh My! She looks like a bad version of Jamie Lee Curtis. Wow.
DeleteIt is just shocking and her attitude ain't any prettier either! You should also google Kristen Stuart's pics from this week, the fuggliest thing you will ever seen, she is now going into public without washing or combing the nest on her head. She constantly looks like walking depression to me. Emma D'Arcy as well.
