MY HAPPY ENDING TRAILER
MAKE EVERY MOMENT COUNT
Our first trailer of the week comes from new February 24th drama movie MY HAPPY ENDING which features a rather strong cast led by Andie MacDowell,
our queen Miriam Margolyes, Tom Cullen, David Walliams, Tamsin Greig!
The movie arrives end of February |
Julia Roth (MacDowell), a somewhat forgotten Hollywood star, discovers
she has cancer the day the West End play that was supposed to be her
comeback is cancelled - Not fully understanding the magnitude of this
discovery, she decides to go to a chemo clinic in Kent, seeking
obscurity and privacy, and get it "taken care of" before returning to
the US with her tail between her legs. To her horror, having mistaken
what the doctor meant by 'private' she finds herself stuck within a
general ward with members of the public, three very different women (an
aging rocker, a 28-year-old Muslim mother of four, and a forever single
retired schoolteacher who doesn't even have a cat), undergoing their
usual round of treatment. She calls her manager Nancy to come in and
"Fix it", which she promptly does. But as the group let her in on some
of the realities she has to look forward to, she realises these
strangers are the only ones who can really help her deal with the most
difficult role she has ever played - herself.
Andie MacDowell is lovely. I sure would enjoy this movie.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a story many women can relate to.
DeleteWhy is the school teacher judged for not even having a cat? Not that I can relate, but must all old spinsters own a cat? LOL
ReplyDeleteWell, I certainly do own a cat and I'm as spinster as it gets LOL
DeleteMaybe that's why you're a spinster. Some men don't like cats. You should start an app for spinsters who love cats and we can solve the lonely crisis one swipe and meow at a time.
DeleteHenry does prefer dogs to cats.
