PIERRE NINEY TO LEAD
COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO FILM
I've already told you that our dear Pathe will do a movie adaptation of COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO after they give us two Musketeers movie in April and December, and now Pierre Niney has been announced as the lead! To shoot from July with October 2024 opening date, it will be told from the point of view of Edmond Dantès, the first French superhero, who steps from the light into the shadows, assuming the identity of masked avenger. Based on Dumas' famous novel, it will be an epic adventure film, with exceptionally strong characters!
DINOSAUR WITH STEPHEN FRY
LAUNCHES THIS SUNDAY!
And here is something that actually begins as soon as tomorrow: this Sunday Channel 5 is launching their four episode documentary series DINOSAUR WITH STEPHEN FRY which takes the British comedian on a
journey back to 155 million years ago!
New series starts this Sunday at 7PM |
In this new factual series the comedian charts the dinosaurs’ time on
earth from their ‘golden age’ in the Jurassic era right through to their
last days, when the planet was hit by a huge asteroid. He interacts
with the giant beasts and meets experts who tell him surprising facts
about the creatures. A prehistoric environment via a 360-degree Dinosaur
World, which has been designed to immerse viewers in a hyper-realistic
representation of the jungles of the Jurassic period and plains of the
Cretaceous period. Thanks to state-of-the-art CGI, Stephen is able to
chart their story on earth right through to their demise 66 million
years ago. He gets to meet much-loved dinos such as the 26m-long
diplodocus and witness ferocious battles between triceratops and the
fearsome tyrannosaurus rex.
What's with Montecristo? How many versions can you have? This year we are having two in Spanish, one from Telemundo and one from Vix. I could provide producers with a list of Dumas'novels that deserve to be adapted
ReplyDeleteI do not think the rest of the world will see the Spanish versions, but the French one will probably hit international cinemas as Pathe is a world wide studio.
Deleteit's not a compeyition I just wonder why make always the same story?
DeleteProbably because younger generations are idiots and haven't seen the story before.
DeleteThese two I will pass...
ReplyDeleteSad to hear it, I'm excited about both.
DeleteThe Dinosaur one I will watch with my nephews. They are coming up for a visit from Georgia for spring break and I was already planning to take them to the dino museum. This will be a fun addition to play off of that visit!
ReplyDeleteIf you find it anywhere LOL I think it will probably air on Paramount Plus in USA but it has not been confirmed yet.
DeleteFingers crossed we will find it!
