After a successful run over at U&Alibi channel cosy crime period set series BOOKISH is getting a second season which will see Mark Gatiss return to the role of 1946. London book keeper turned investigator with Polly Walker as his wife and Connor Finch as his right hand. Joining them in the
new season are Miranda Richardson, Jason Watkins, Rupert Graves to name just some of the more famous names. In the new season he will investigate the world of spiritualism, a murder of a tailor, and will spend Christmas in a German village with thieving duchess played by Richardson.

ReplyDeleteThese small channels really do not need much to get a hit, just a good cast, look at your Acorn in USA which is experiencing a revival thanks to known names in the casts of their new shows.
DeleteU&Alibi? Have never heard of it...did you watch season 1? Was it any good?
ReplyDeleteI have not as I cannot stand Gatiss, but I might, people seem to have liked it. U&Alibi is a small British free channel.
