According to Deadline, NBC has ordered an untitled comedy series which will see him play a man who discovers that the unexamined life can bite you in the ass. The series comes from Marco Pennette who was the co creator of NBC's old sitcom Caroline in the City back in the 90s and also of B Positive and Kirstie sitcoms. NBC also has another new multi camera new sitcom Newlyweds, starring Tim Daly and Téa Leoni, which will start airing this Autumn. Hyde Pierce won four Emmy awards for his role in Frasier and he also starred recently in HBO's series on famous cook Julia Child in which he played her husband for two seasons.

I told you that CBS has ordered a pilot for an unusual period set costume multicamera sitcom REGENCY and now they have revealed that Rhys Darby will take the lead in the comedy series that will be set in early 19th century and follow the upper middle class Tillbrooks as they navigate life, love, and scandal in 19th century England. Darby will lead the series as Arthur Tillbrook, head of the family home, Hartford Park. Arthur is heir to a vast cheese empire but prefers to think of himself as a “guy’s guy.” He will go to great lengths to prove his masculinity, though his privileged upbringing reveals itself every time. This new costume multicamera sitcom is being prepared for the 2026/2027 new television season, which means we will know its destiny this summer - whether it will air in Autumn or Mid Season or not air at all.

Returning with the second season tonight over at CBS is GEORGIE & MANDY'S FIRST MARRIAGE multi camera sitcom with Montana Jordan and Emily Osment. Season two picks up after the season 1 finale, which found Mandy keeping the truth about working with an ex-boyfriend from Georgie. When he learns the truth, he's moved to buy her father Jim's (Will Sasso) auto shop and go into business with Ruben (Jessie Prez). About a year ago I told you that Netflix has ordered sixteen episodes of a new multicamera sitcom LEANNE from Chuck Lorre which will see comedienne Leanne Morgan lead the comedy and now we have the first trailer and a launch date on July 31st. She will play a woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family she will navigate this new chapter with grace, dignity and jello salad. Kristen Johnston will play her completely opposite sister Carol who twice divorced with no kids, and if there’s a choice between going to church and going to a bar, she will always choose the latter. Despite their differences, Carol is fiercely loyal to her sister and is her ride or die. Celia Weston,Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Graham Rogers and Hannah Pilkes. Tim Daly, Jayma Mays, Annie Gonzalez and Blake Gibbons will recur. As a chosen family, they prove that no matter how hard things get, there’s always someone around to remind you it would be better if you got your neck done! Nick, Matt’s son and Riley’s game coder younger brother, will not be part of the series and will be replaced by the character of Gabriel. It will see Reba playing plays Bobbie who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in her half-sister Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), she never knew she had. Isabella is an enthusiastic 20-something, who has studied psychology and loves to analyze people. She is thrilled to start working at the tavern and is full of “great” ideas about how to bring it to life. Peterman plays Gabby, a bartender who has worked at the tavern for quite some time. She is a bit needy and dramatic and would have loved to be Bobbie’s sister. The comedy will also star Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn. WHO WILL APPEAR IN THE 2ND SEASON?

Jack Cutmore-Scott returns as Frasier’s son, Freddy, Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor, Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department and fans' favourite Anders Keith as Frasier’s adorable nephew, David. Peri Gilpin will guest star as Roz Doyle with Greer Grammer (Kelsey's real life daughter) as Roz's daughter.  Edward Hibbert will also star in the new season. Rachel Bloom will also appear as Phoebe Glazer, the daughter of Bebe Glazer (Harriet Sansom Harris), Frasier Crane’s former agent. Phoebe and Frasier have more in common than Frasier had with her mother, Bebe. Both share a love for opera, and they seem to connect easily. This connection makes Frasier concerned that Phoebe could be his daughter. Amy Sedaris will play Doc Stathos, a therapist who admires Frasier. Patricia Heaton will appear as Holly, a bartender and Frasier’s new love interest. Yvette Nicole Brown will join the cast as Dr. Monica Finch, the sister of Olivia, Frasier’s colleague.
