As TV Tonight reports, shooting has wrapped on new eight part series WHO THE HELL IS HAMISH? which will air later this year on Paramount +. The series is inspired by an industrious fraudster, and the group of victims who eventually decided they had had enough of him. The charming and cultured Hamish (Dominic Cooper) sets his sights on Bec (Claire van der Boom), a recently divorced single mother with three sons and access to a significant family trust. When Bec notices gaps in his story and some odd behaviour, what starts as private unease widens into something far larger: a pattern of deception spanning continents and suspected of leaving more than $70 million in its wake. The decision sets of a chain of events that show how a moment can fracture and nearly destroy families and friendships. As the plot unfolds, the consequences of Jess and Liz’s actions come to light, families unravel and the women begin to articulate long-held judgements against each other. As the truth is unmasked, deep-rooted issues and insecurities are thrust into the spotlight as the women question what really happened to Jess’ baby. Shelley Con and Emily Taaffe will be the other two friends with JJ Feild, Ben Bailey Smith and Stephen Campbell Moore leading the male part of the cast. News from Deadline say that ZDF and Paramount are going to turn Daniel Edelson's debut novel THE TEA HOUSE ON THE DEATH PASS into a returning series based on the true story of hundreds of hikers who became trapped while trekking in the Himalayas. Back in October 2014 in Nepal’s Himalayan Mountains, hundreds of hikers become trapped on the Annapurna Range after snowstorms and avalanches turn one of the most breathtaking hiking trails in the world into a death trap. The hikers, from dozens of nations, find themselves fighting for their lives, totally dependent on each other. They must make life-and-death decisions and face moral dilemmas as moments of heroism give rise to the inspiring rescue efforts. Ron Leshem along with Amit Cohen are the show creators.
