With the title changed into GIRL TAKEN it will follow twin sisters Lily and Abby (Talalah and Delphie Evans), whose lives are shattered when Lily is abducted from their quiet rural English town by beloved local teacher Rick Hansen (Alfie Allen). After years of abuse in captivity, Lily escapes only to discover that freedom brings its own challenges. The world she longed to return to has moved on without her. As Abby, Lily and their mother Eve (Jill Halfpenny) struggle to rebuild their family, they must confront the lasting damage and the terrifying reality that Rick is still out there, determined to control the narrative and evade justice. Paramount + has released first images from their new series THE REVENGE CLUB which will hit the streamer December 12th in UK and Ireland with Martin Compston in the lead role of the series based on .D. Pennington’s novel The Othello Club and with Aimée-Ffion Edwards, Owen Teale, Douglas Henshall, Niamh Walsh also in the cast. Hope we get a trailer soon so stay tuned.

BritBox has sent us the first trailer for their four part adaptation of Elizabeth George's Inspector LYNLEY novels in which our dearest Leo Suter takes the lead role with Sofia Barclay as DS Barbara Havers. Lynley is a brilliant detective who's something of an outsider because of his aristocratic upbringing. Havers comes from a working class background, and she's more of an instinct-driven maverick. Though they have little in common and they don't always get along, they learn to work together to help get justice for victims of horrific crimes. In other TV news today, Gilded Age has been renewed for season 4 and Bergerac and Eric Banas Untamed for season 2.

 

WHO IS IN THE CAST? 

 Daniel Mays will play DCI Brian Nies, the astute, suspicious Senior Detective at Three Counties Major Incident Team, whose aversion to Lynley is partly born of his own insecurities about class and partly because he knows he’s no longer the smartest person in the room. Niamh Walsh stars as Helen Clyde, an estate agent and Lynley’s former Oxford classmate whose romance with Lynley is sparked when their paths fatefully cross on a case; Michael Workeye as tech specialist Tony Bekele; and Joshua Sher as forensic scientist, Simon St. James. The series will stream on BritBox in USA
September 4th and BBC One in UK this Autumn. Each of the four episodes of the new mini series will be a TV film of 90 minutes.

There is not much to expect in the scorching month of August, I can tell you that right now, but what I can definitely promise you is that we are getting a visit from the god of dreams himself when THE SANDMAN ten episode fantasy drama television series based on the 1989–1996 comic book written by Neil Gaiman and published by DC Comics starts streaming from August 5th. ENTER THE KINGDOM OF DREAM

A wizard attempting to capture Death to bargain for eternal life traps her younger brother Dream instead. And thus, in 1916, Morpheus, the king of dreams and one of the seven Endless, is captured in an occult ritual. Fearful for his safety, the wizard kept him imprisoned in a glass bottle for many decades. After being held captive for 106 years, Morpheus escapes and sets out to restore order to his kingdom of the Dreaming. Coleman plays two versions of the character: the eighteenth century-residing ancestor Lady Johanna Constantine and her present day descendant! Joely Richardson is Ethel Cripps: Burgess' fiancee and the mother of John Dee. Niamh Walsh is young Ethel Cripps.
