Well, it seems, people, March will finally bring us long awaited period set delights, beside Belgravia (March 15th) and Letter for the King (March 20th), you will also enjoy THE ENGLISH GAME which Netflix will stream in all

its six episodes from March 20th as well. Like Belgravia, this new period set series also comes from Julian Fellowes following the beginnings of soccer in Britain in the mid 19th century.
The English Game
will be a six part series set in the 1800s and will describe how the world's most popular sport of football crossed class lines and became a worldwide phenomenon despite its humble beginnings on the pitch at London’s Limes Field!

favourite stars have already booked themselves new gigs! Our dear Scotsman Stuart Martin (whose rise from Medici series to Jamestown, we've been proudly following for years) will take the lead role in new A&E Network period set series about the first female detective in the 19th century London MISS SCARLET AND THE DUKE as the duke himself next to Kate Phillips as Eliza Scarlet whose father dies and leaves her penniless in a time where marriage is her only option for financial security. But the headstrong Eliza is determined to find another way and takes over his private detective agency. But she needs a partner, so she hires detective Inspector William Wellington of Scotland Yard, who is also known as The
Kate Philips as Miss Scarlet, London's first 19th century lady detective

Edward Holcroft will lead The English Game
While his fans are waiting for Julian Fellowes to finish shooting the movie version of Downton Abbey, and while we are waiting for the production on the small screen adaptation of his own Napoleonic wars set novel Belgravia to start in United Kingdom with Alice Eve as the lead, and while he is also preparing The Gilded Age epic TV saga at NBC, he has finished casting for another new period set television series of his, but this time something more for men! THE ENGLISH GAME will be a six part series set in the late 19th century and will describe how the world's most popular sport of football crossed class lines and became a worldwide phenomenon despite its humble beginnings on the pitch at London’s Limes Field! 

THE LADS IN THE TEAM  
To air sometime next year at Netflix, the series will have dashing Edward Holcroft (whom we watched in period set series Wolfhall, Gunpowder, Alias Grace and also as Ben Whishaw's gay lover in London Spy) as the lead star of
Craig Parkinson, Henry Lloyd Hughes and Kevin Guthrie
the team which, back then, included both Etonians and factory workers! The cast also includes Craig Parkinson, Kevin Guthrie and Spanish Princess
