FIRST TRAILER IS HERE FOR PERIOD SET FILM

I first mentioned  gorgeous period set drama movie PRISONERS OF PARADISE from director Mitch Jenkins more than four years ago but the film underwent a difficult road after its director died unexpectedly. It is now finally ready to hit the cinemas this August in Europe and US and we have a trailer to prove it. Set in 1925, Mauritius, at a time of social tension, this island

paradise is the backdrop for a coming of age love story. Orphaned, 19 year old, Lucy Gladwell has been sent from England to live under the guardianship of her uncle George. Initially seduced by the sumptuous beauty of her surroundings and the charm of her new family, Lucy sees George as a benign, humorous and loving man who has her best interests at heart. But beneath this veneer of civilisation set in Paradise, lies a dark violent force, that wants to entrap and rule her. When Lucy falls in love with Krishna, an indentured labourer their fates become intertwined. Like Romeo and Juliet, true love is something neither of these PRISONERS OF PARADISE can deny. Paramount + has unveiled first trailer for their new six part UK original series LITTLE DISASTERS about four friends who were thrown together while expectant mothers with little in common apart from their due dates. When Jess (Diane Kruger) takes her baby daughter to hospital with a head injury she can’t explain, close friend and on-duty doctor Liz (Jo Joyner) is forced to make the excruciating decision as to whether to call social services on her friend. The decision sets of a chain of events that show how a moment can fracture and nearly destroy families and friendships. As the plot unfolds, the consequences of Jess and Liz’s actions come to light, families unravel and the women begin to articulate long-held judgements against each other. As the truth is unmasked, deep-rooted issues and insecurities are thrust into the spotlight as the women question what really happened to Jess’ baby. Shelley Con and Emily Taaffe will be the other two friends with JJ Feild, Ben Bailey Smith and Stephen Campbell Moore leading the male part of the cast. The series will hit the small screens May 22nd but only in UK and Ireland.
