TRAILER FOR NETFLIX 1900S SET SERIES

Netflix has released a rather lovely trailer for their new original Australian series MY BRILLIANT CAREER which will be available for streaming from August 13th! Based on the Miles Franklin novel, the six part saga sees Philippa Northeast playing Sybylla, a fiercely modern young woman with one burning ambition: to be a writer, even as her family pushes her toward marriage. Sybylla breaks every convention of 1900 Australia as she chases a story that could write her way to independence, until she falls in love. Will she marry, or risk it all for a creative life? Christopher Chung stars as Harry, Anna Chancellor as Mrs Bossier, Genevieve O’Reilly as Helen, Kate Mulvany as Augusta, Jake Dunn as Frank, Alexander England as Julius, Sherry-Lee Watson as Nell and Miah Madden as Betty.

August 10th is bringing us a new Australian TV series. Six part series THE FAMILY NEXT DOOR from their broadcaster ABC stars Teresa Palmer, Bella Heathcote, Philippa Northeast, Ming-Zhu Hii, Bob Morley, Daniel Henshall, and Jane Harber. Propelled by a mystery that disrupts a seemingly harmonious beachside community, the series explores the universal challenges of motherhood, marriage, friendship, and the complexities of identity. 

 

IT'S PEAK HOLIDAY SEASON

 in the popular seaside town of Osprey Point when an enigmatic stranger, Isabelle (Palmer) rents a family home in a quiet cul-de-sac. As Isabelle charms her way into her neighbours’ homes and lives, she quickly discovers that everyone at Pleasant Court has something to hide. How far will her obsessive drive to solve a mystery push her to expose the truth?

NETFLIX COSTUME DRAMA SETS CAST 

Netflix has commenced shooting of their new Australian period set original series MY BRILLIANT CAREER based on Miles Franklin's classic. In the late 19th Century, Australia, a strong and ambitious young woman named Sybylla Melvyn (Phillippa Northeast) is coming of age 

Alexander England and Philippa Northeast will star in  the series

amidst her family’s financial struggles. After multiple disagreements with her mother, Sybylla is offered the chance to move to the Caddagat estate, where Mrs. Bossier (Anna Chancellor) takes her under her wing to “refine” Sybylla and prepare her for marriage. Eager to move, it’s not long before Sybylla falls in love with life at Caddagat, where she meets Harold Beecham, the owner of

Jake Dunn and Anna Chancellor will also star in the series

 the neighboring estate, and thus the courtship begins. Much to Sybylla’s dismay, her family’s financial troubles force her to travel to Barney’s Gap, where she is to be the governess of the M’Swat household. Christopher Chung, Genevieve O'Reilly, Kate Mulvany, Jake Dunn, Alexander England, Miah Madden will also star.
