Scott Waugh's new action movie thriller RUNNER is rounding up cast with Rodrigo Santoro, Leila George and Oscar nominee Adriana Barazza joining Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson. It follows  Hank Malone (Ritchson), a high-end courier faced with a harrowing, life-or-death mission: deliver an organ to a seven-year-old girl in need of an immediate transplant. The straightforward task rapidly devolves into a perilous game of cat and mouse, when the merciless leader (Santoro) of a notorious crime syndicate sets his sights on claiming the organ for himself.

With Christmas ahead of us next week, Hollywood is already planning their festive offer for next year and among them will be THE MAN WITH THE BAG the latest holiday comedy movie from Adam Shankman and today you can see the first image with Alan Ritchson and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story of the new film follows Santa Claus as he turns to his naughty list to recruit Vance (Ritchson) with the aim of retrieving his magic bag and saving Christmas. Amazon MGM Studios is producing currently in New York.

NEW NICHOLAS SPARKS MOVIE ADAPTATION

Although we mostly see him as an action hero, Alan Ritchson has just got himself a role in a drama: he will lead the movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' book COUNTING MIRACLES which is currently the  best selling title in USA and his 20th number one.

In the movie done at Amazon MGM Studios, Ritchson will play former Ranger who returns to his small hometown with one mission: to find the father he never knew. While there he crosses paths with a doctor who is balancing her own life as a single mother of two and a reclusive old man with a mysterious past, leading to unexpected connections and a journey toward belonging. Ritchson is also doing WAR MACHINE sf epic over at Netflix which follows the final 24-hours of the world’s toughest selection program, as a team of Army Rangers encounter a threat beyond their imagination. Dennis Quaid, Jai Courtney, Daniel Webber and Blake Richardson also star.

ANNOUNCES LEAD CAST

Sky and Peacock have set cast for their TV series adaptation of TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ which tells the true-life story of Lale Sokolov (Jonah Hauer King), a Jewish prisoner who is given the job of tattooing identification numbers on fellow prisoners’ arms in the concentration camp. One day, he meets Gita (Anna Prochniak) when tattooing her prisoner number on her arm. They experience love at first sight, and so begins a courageous, unforgettable, and human story, told through one man’s memory and experience of Auschwitz-Birkenau; a tale of the very best of humanity in the very worst of circumstances. Jonas Nay and Melanie Lynskey will also star.

Officially available for streaming as off today over at  Netflix is the second season of their epic fantasy adaptation of Leigh Bardugo's book saga SHADOW AND BONE which launches eight new episodes from March 16th! To celebrate the arrival of the second batch of episodes you can enjoy today in the new poster revealing characters new and old that we will follow in their new adventures. The weakest link in the cast Jessie Mei Li sadly returns as Alina Starkov, alognside Archie Renaux (Malyen Oretsev), Freddy Carter (Kaz Brekker), Kit Young (Jesper Fahey), Danielle Galligan (Nina Zenik), Daisy Head (Genya Safin), Calahan Skogman (as the insanely hot Matthias Helvar) and Ben Barnes (as the very naughty and now also very much evil General Kirigan). Ghosts of War were shot over in Bulgaria

starring Brenton Thwaites, Theo Rossi, Skylar Astin, Kyle Gallner, and Alan Ritchson next to Billy Zane and Matthew Reese. It will be available before that on DirectTV virtually from June 18th. This period set horror thriller follows five battle hardened American soldiers assigned to hold a French Chateau near the end of World War II. Formerly occupied by the Nazi high command, this unexpected respite quickly descends into madness when they encounter a supernatural enemy far more terrifying than anything seen on the battlefield. The film was directed by Eric Bress.

Also out next month, July 10th on VOD to be precise, is science fiction action movie ARCHIVE starring Theo James and Rhona Mitra alongside Toby Jones. The film which was directed and written by Gavin Rothery, and shot over in Hungarian capital Budapest (the above mentioned Ghosts of War was shot in Bulgaria), has the story set in 2038: George Almore is working on a true human equivalent AI. His latest prototype is almost ready. This sensitive phase is also the riskiest. Especially as he has a goal that must be hidden at all costs: being reunited with his dead wife.
