The latest toy to big screen adaptation has just got a high speed trailer! MATCHBOX will arrive to Apple TV + October 9th starring John Cena, Jessica Biel and Corey Stoll in an action packed, globe trotting adventure about a group of friends since childhood who have their lives upended when undercover CIA agent Sean (John Cena), their long-absent former leader, returns to their small town and unwittingly gets them embroiled in a frantic international pursuit to save the world. Better Sister is out at Prime Video May 29th

set on May 29th when it'll launch in more than 240 countries around the world. Jessica Biel leads the cast as Chloe, who moves through the world with her handsome lawyer husband Adam (Corey Stoll) and teenage son Ethan (Maxwell Dono- van) by her side while her estranged sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks) struggles to stay clean and hustles to make ends meet. When Adam is brutally murdered, the prime suspect sends shockwaves through the family, laying bare long-buried secrets. Kim Dickens will play Nancy Guidry, a detective investigating Adam’s murder, while Bobby Naderi will play her kinder and younger detective partner.

IN 'STAR TREK: DISCOVERY'

Great news, people, after a very long wait we finally have the first name in the cast for new STAR TREK: DISCOVERY TV series which will air at CBS next spring and through Netflix around the world! Michelle Yeoh has been announced by one of the show's producers as the new captain!

Sadly, it won't be the lead role since this series will have a female starship lieutenant commander of colour as the protagonist thus marking it as the first of the STAR TREK series that won't have their lead star commanding the ship! Michelle Yeoh will apparently have a reoccurring role as a character named Han Bo a captain of another ship named the Shenzhou and should have an important role in the first season which won't have individual stories in each episode but will follow a longer storyline set ten years before the original series when Star Federation was first venturing into the unknown space.  If the rumours are right DISCOVERY will also have a male British doctor aboard and at least one gay character!

  'THE BOOK OF LOVE' TRAILER

And a lovely first trailer for Jason Sudeikis' (looking better than ever in it) new movie THE BOOK OF LOVE which is out this January in cinemas. Originally titled The Devil and the Deep Blue See it will see Sudeikis playing Henry an introverted architect. After the death of his wife (played by Jessica Biel) in a car accident, he sets out to help Millie, a homeless teen (played with a very, very bad accent, by Maisie Williams), to build a raft to sail across the Atlantic. Also starring Paul Reiser, Orlando Jones and Mary Steenburgen the movie features beautiful original music from Justin Timberlake!

But his fascination with an unsolved murder leads him into a spiral of chaos as he is forced to play cat-and-mouse with a clever killer and an overambitious detective, while at the same time lusting after another woman.

Yet another trailer for a big screen book adaptation comes for World War 2 drama THE ZOOKEEPER' WIFE based on a book by Diane Ackerman and starring Daniel Bruhl, Jessica Chastain (although I thought it was Eddie Redmayne from Danish Girl lol)! It tells the account of keepers of the Warsaw Zoo, Jan and Antonina Zabinski, who helped save hundreds of people and animals during the Nazi invasion. It is out next May in UK. I shall put the longer trailer for the movie here tomorrow as soon as it is released instead of the today's short movie teaser!

'SECRET SCRIPTURE' TRAILER

The most stellar cast appears in the first trailer for the adaptation of Sebastian Barry's novel THE SECRET SCRIPTURE which stars Aidan Turner, Eric Bana, Jack Reynor, Theo James and Rooney Mara in a story about a 100 year old woman, (Vanessa Redgrave) who has lived in a Mental Hospital for almost half of her life and decides to write an autobiography which reveals the history of her passionate yet tortured life, and of the religious and political upheavals in Ireland during the 1920s and ’30s! Bana is her psychiatrist, Reynor a pilot she fell in love with, Theo a priest who fell in love with her!

Well, you already know I love me a good omnibus movie and here's a new one on the horizon: Clive Owen and Jessica Biel are to star in Bosnian Oscar winner Danis Tanovic's new movie INVISIBLE in which the story follows Felix (Clive Owen) and Ann (Jessica Biel), who despite their perfect lives find themselves wanting more. On the other side of London, Anton, Hana and Alma have each travelled from faraway lands and put their lives on the line to seek out better opportunities than their homeland can offer. If you're in the mood for some love movies this Valentines you will be sad to hear there won't be many of those in cinemas next month, but today we're spotlighting the few of them that are arriving next few weeks!

Opening February 6th is our fave among them, the sweet and delightful romantic story LOVE, ROSIE with adorable tandem Lily Collins and Sam Claflin as two best friends who decide to go to America together to attend University. But fate has other plans for Rosie who discovers that she is pregnant after a crazy night out with the most popular boy in school. She encourages Alex to go without her, hopeful that she’ll catch up with him eventually. Over the next twelve years, their lives change dramatically but the undeniable connection remains. At the back of Rosie’s mind is always the question, what if fortune had taken another turn and they were meant to be more than just good friends. Another romantic comedy that finally hits theatres next month is Hugh Grant's new movie THE REWRITE premiering February 13th! In 1998, Ray Michaels (Hugh Grant) was on top of the world - a witty, sexy, Englishman in Hollywood who had just won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay. Fifteen years later, he’s creatively washed up, divorced, and broke. With no other options, he takes a job teaching screenwriting at a small college on the East Coast. Although the idea of teaching is less than thrilling, he hopes to make some easy money and enjoy the favours of impressionable young co-eds. What he doesn't expect to find is romance with a single mom (Marisa Tomei) who’s gone back to school.

'ACCIDENTAL LOVE'

Meanwhile, a bit more bizarre romantic movie is coming out February 10th starring Jake Gyllenhaal, James Marsden, Jessica Biel. Based on the novel 'Sammy's Hill' by Kristin Gore ACCIDENTAL LOVE follows Sammy Joyce, a socially awkward small-town receptionist, who has a nail accidentally shot into her head by a clumsy workman, eliciting wild sexual urges. The uninsured Joyce goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the bizarrely injured. She meets an immoral congressman (Jake Gyllenhaal) who takes advantage of her sex drive and capitalizes on her crusade as Joyce heads into her own career in politics.
