CHRIS HEMSWORTH
IS HE NEW 'DOC SAVAGE'?
One of the hot gossips today come from 'The Hollywood Reporter' which reveals that Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, has met with director Shane Black (who was hired yesterday to helm the reboot of PREDATOR) to discuss his potential gig in DOC SAVAGE movie! He is one of the most popular characters in the pulps of the 1930s and '40s. Trained since birth to be nearly superhuman in every way, DOC SAVAGE uses his skills and powers to fight evil all over the world. Chris Hunksworth himself has tones of sequels to shoot ahead of him: as Thor in AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON next year and in THOR 3 in 2017, and then AVENGERS 3 in 2019. There is also the sequel SNOWWHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN 2. He is also to appear in Spielberg's sf epic ROBOPOCALYPSE. But we shall first watch him next year in HEART OF THE SEA about a crew stranded at sea in the 19th century.
'HIGH-RISE' PLOT REVEALED
TOM HIDDLESTON, LUKE EVANS, JEREMY IRONS, JAMES PUREFOY
With the shooting scheduled to start next month in Ireland, the plot has been revealed for exciting thriller HIGH-RISE which boasts a totally mouthwatering cast with Tom Hiddleston, Luke Evans, James Purefoy, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller and Elisabeth Moss. The big screen adaptation of JG Ballard's bestselling novel will centre on a new residential tower built on the eve of the Thatcher era. Designed by visionary architect Anthony Royal (Jeremy Irons), the luxurious tower is build on the site of what will soon become the world's financial hub, and is meant as a solution to the city's problems. Young doctor Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) becomes seduced by both the HIGH-RISE and Royal, striking up a relationship with the architect's devoted aide Charlotte (Sienna Miller). But discontent soon develops among the tower's residents, and Laing is shocked when Richard Wilder (Luke Evans) - a charismatic provocateur bent on inciting the situation - shows him what's really going on beneath the surface. As the residents break into tribal factions, Laing finds himself in the middle of mounting violence.

WW2 'FURY' EPIC TRAILER
BRAD PITT DRIVES A TANK
After yesterday's DRACULA UNTOLD trailer we continue with the epic ones today with FURY World War II movie which will drive into cinemas this November starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood, Jason Isaacs and John Bernthal. April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
Well, that is a very handsome post today, sir, with some good projects coming up. Will definitely check out that mouth-watering cast in High Rise. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, just imagine Luke and Hiddles all sweaty and hot running the floors in high suspense :)
DeleteI'm imagining it right now. Only I have added Aidan Turner in the mix thanks to your tweet. :P
DeleteHe is a true Turner :) Turned your mind onto him :)
DeleteI'm still stuck on the fact that they're remaking Predator. What's next? Demolition Man? Speed?
ReplyDeleteWell they did ROBOCOP, TERMINATOR is coming up, so is CONAN (again), and many others.....
DeleteMaybe I'm just getting too old, but Chris doesn't look like the Doc Savage I remember reading. FURY will be heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteHe is quite more massive than on this pic I've chosen.
DeleteStrike while the iron is hot... Chris Hemsworth he is the "it" guy isn't he? He could retire after all these super hero films...
ReplyDeleteWell, he will hardly ever get rid of being THOR
Deleteby the power of the hammer... we sure hope not.
Deletealthough, knowing Hollywood, they might reboot Thor in five years or so...
DeleteIf I recall the old comic book covers, I believe Doc Savage always got his shirt ripped to shreds with clockwork regularity to show off his fab torso. Chris Hemsworth will be perfect in the role, LOL! Although I really wonder if it's appropriate for the father of such young children to show so much skin . . . . So Hemsworth, don't be such a hypocrite about your wife posing for Playboy!
ReplyDeleteAnd may I just add: Hiddleston SQUEEEEEEEEEE! You know I just couldn't miss that opportunity.
Really? Then, Chris seems like a perfect match :) But he doesn't show of everything, and his wife probably would if she was to go Playboy :)
DeleteWe do love Hiddles more than life itself
Oh and P.S. to Brad Pitt -- For gawd's sake, why don't you make a movie where you don't have an appalling haircut?
ReplyDeleteyou don't like the haircut? Oh, Debs, can't say I agree, those tidy and manly and sleek WW haircuts are my absolute fave, so sexy and manly... I hate the bushy Bieber and Beatles styles.... I'd organize hairdressing troops, tour the schools and shave bald every teen with big bush on his head :)
DeleteGuess I just like bush more than you do, Dezzy! Ha ha! Jeez did I actually say that out loud?
ReplyDeleteWait, which bush are we talking about? Southern or Northern? Because my opinions might differ depending on the region :)
DeleteHe looks different to me, when he's not Thor.
ReplyDeleteit's difficult to go from God to Immortal
DeleteFury looks excellent!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would like that one
DeleteA re-do of "Predator"? How about some NEW ideas, instead of all the remakes?
ReplyDeleteFury sounds terrific. My kinda flick.
Not gonna happen in TinselTown.. the new ideas... they will first reboot and reshoe everything they can :)
DeleteHey Dezmond,
ReplyDeleteBrad Pitt driving a tank. Good thing it aint now and he not here in England. Tanks have to be driven on the left side of the road. Actually, being a tank, they can drive wherever they please. Thanks for the info, dude.
Gary
Hey, Gary!
DeleteWhichever side they drive I bet nothing is left of the roads after they go over them....
Fury sounds really good! Definitely one my hubs will insist on seeing!
ReplyDeletehe most definitely will
DeleteI've haven't seen/read/heard one Doc Savage story
ReplyDeleteme neither
DeleteAll these look interesting Dezzy.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear it, Donna!
DeleteFury looks promising. It's been quite a while since I watched a war film. The last one which doesn't even come close to a war film but WWII related was Belle et Sebastian.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently watching a few projects related to WW1 since it's hundred years from its beginning
DeleteBrad Pitt drives a tank? Waouh, waiting for this!
ReplyDeleteI think that Angelina has a pilot license :)
DeleteFury sounds good! I want to see Pitt drive a tank!
ReplyDeletehe most probably just commands the driver :)
DeleteThanks for the previews! Fury looks pretty good for me.
ReplyDeletebe welcome, Pat
