ART DETECTIVES
FIRST IMAGES FROM THE NEW SERIES
It won't hit Acorn TV before June 9th but we already have first images from ART DETECTIVES six episode crime mini series set in the Heritage Crime Unit, a police department consisting of art loving DI Mick Palmer 
(Stephen Moyer) and straight-talking DC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh). Together, they solve murders connected to the world of art and antiques, from
Old Master paintings, to Banksy street art, medieval manuscripts and collectible vinyl.
Throughout the season, the artfully astute detectives
encounter a fake Vermeer, Viking gold, a rare Chinese vase and items rescued from the Titanic. In a rich and colourful world driven by greed, obsession, lust 
and revenge, Mick navigates these demanding cases while managing a budding romance with museum curator Rosa (Sarah Alexander) and the sudden reappearance of his charismatic father, Ron (Larry Lamb), who just happens to be one of Britain’s most notorious forgers.

What a pity that it will be just on Acorn TV...British crime series is definitely my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteHope the weather is nice and warm. It's pretty sunny and warm now, but this morning was minus 2C when we went out for a walk and grocery shopping. Saw cherries, all sorts of berries, and figs (46 cents) in one of our local supermarket chains (Kaufland).. just bought some pineapples and raspberries.
We also have zero at night and close to 20C during the day. We are in the long process of boycotting our superstore chains on a national level, each week one of them, Lidl is next week :) They lose about 40% of their earnings daily thanks to our boycott, They must lower the insane prices.
DeleteThis sounds like an absolutely thrilling series! The combination of art thefts and murder investigations is such an intriguing premise, and I’m excited to see how Mick and Shazia work together to solve these high-stakes cases. The idea of diving into the world of Old Masters, Banksy, and even Titanic artifacts adds so much depth to the story. Stephen Moyer as DI Mick Palmer sounds like a perfect fit, and I can’t wait to see the chemistry between him and Sarah Alexander’s character, Rosa. I’ll definitely be tuning in when Art Detectives premieres!
