CHIEF OF WAR
FIRST JASON MOMOA EPIC SERIES IMAGE
Apple TV + has opened the new week with the first image of Jason Momoa in his epic new series CHIEF OF WAR and the start date set for August 1st when it will launch with first two episodes and then continue
weekly. The series depicts the unification and colonization of Hawai’i from an indigenous point of view with Momoa playing warrior Ka’iana, as he tries to unify the islands before Western colonization in the late 18th century.

Not sure I would like to watch this..we are watching 1883 now...so far it's pretty good...different from the western dramas that I knew.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a feeling it will be dark and cheap looking not epic as I would like.
DeleteJason Momoa playing a warrior in such an important historical setting is intriguing, especially with the focus on the indigenous point of view. The premise of unifying Hawai’i before Western colonization gives it a unique and powerful angle. The fact that it will have weekly episodes is also something to look forward to, especially since the first two episodes will be released at once.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Melody, I just hope it won't be too dark and look too cheap. His See series at Apple was unwatchable.
DeleteIdk who got the idea that Momoa can act, but I've never been a fan of any of his work. I love me some Hawaii scenery, but this one I'll pass on.
ReplyDeleteHe is a terrible actor, always the same and I find him scary ugly for some reason.
DeleteI feel like he might be a genuinely nice person, so I hate being so hard on him, but he's a boring actor and I'm one of the women who just doesn't find him attractive.
DeleteHe does seem nice in interviews, but for me does not have the star power of other Hollywood stars.
